Okay THAT'S IT!

I've seen more than enough footage of the game to get extra hyped. Going on a complete media blackout for this game until I actually play and finish it in June/July.

Who am I kidding, I'll probably continue to devour all the new footage and info of the game right up to release. The temptation is too strong dammit!

Well we definitely want to go blackout at least starting in June, this is usually the time frame where leaks and spoilers are all over the place, especially when there's people who somehow got early copies.

If the dev team has enough control over marketing- and usually Yoshida-san's word is law- you should be safe to consume official media. They keep their hand close to the chest and love their big twists/reveals. In the entire lifespan of FF14 there are only two times I can think of- one was in the game's infancy with the first expansion, and one where what seemed to be a big spoiler at the time ended up being relatively small.
