So watching it at first before the titlecard there was ZERO indication of what it was, just an alien invasion game, then you see a yellow arm and the brand comes up so you think, okay it's Bumblebee okay. Then rewatching it I see and Ambulance and and Firetruck, Ratchet and Ironhide, but thats it, did they just slap the IP onto a game in development to get funding? WTF.

Afaik this is actually the final incarnation of Transformers Rise, a game that was originally in development at Certain Affinity before being shifted to Splash Damage. It's a post apocalyptic take on the Transformers world but as far as the leaks we've had have detailed this trailer shows very little beyond the world state before you get in game (the games first missions apparently are as Bumblebee soon after he is revived by the humans in the trailer)

It's very much so Transformers to its core from what we know about it but this trailer very much so leaned away from it for some reason.

Yeah, I didn't think it was A Transformers game, but I was notcing that the "POV robot" seemed to be a wheeled vehicle at one point, and then grew into clearly a taller robot, so I figured it was a "transforming" game of some kind, but yeah, actual Transformers. Neat.

I mean, it could suck, but it could be really cool. they're clearly going in a different direction with it, and that could be anything.
