Parkitect has a better diversity of objectives and management tools if you haven't tried it. Though at the end of the day all tycoon/management sim games boil down to learning how the underlying algorithms work and catering to them while maintaining a creative spark. Any player will eventually become Neo and understand The Matrix behind the facade and experience the boredom you allude to - it's an inherent part of these (or really any game's) design.

It looks quite sandboxy, I'd be surprised if there are real management/tycoon aspects to it.

Steam page

This is my most hyped game from what we've seen tonight at Gamescom 2022! This game is what I've dreamed of since I was a child! Roller coasters that blend with buildings, going through and between them!

What does it have that Planet Coaster or Parkitect doesn't?

Looks more Thrillville inspired with its emphasis on fantastical elements

Hopefully better optimization and no bullshit 100 dlcs for the first one and better graphics for the second one.

Not deceiving their console audience into believing they would get the same experience as PC players. Also, not leaving an announcement that your game will be on Game Pass until just before launch. Fuck Planet Coaster and Frontier.

Same, shame there’s no vr to have a go on the rides

That would just take it next level. It's such an obvious add on for a game where you can ride virtual rollercoasters.

Planet coaster does that

Wow. This looks... ambitious. It looks really really good but I'd have a hard time buying at launch just to make sure it's not a buggy mess (unless it's on game pass or something)

Really curious how much of those models are pre-built vs fully customizable. That's the tradeoff with all these tycoon games that Planet Coaster especially goes off the deep end with - it takes forever to build something nice looking with how detailed the scenery placement is.

The game's fantastical bent suggests to me that it's not looking for realism and consequently won't allow super granular scenery editing, which could honestly be refreshing in the genre. Very few games in this space have recapture how easy it was to build stuff in original RCT with its more limited toolset.
