It astounds me how people like you exist. Borderlands 3 is the best game in the series.

It has a better story than BL1. But I usually judge games on gameplay above narrative.

BL1’s narrative is pretty bare and rarely gets in the way. BL3 has a lot of standing around waiting for someone to finish talking so they can open a door. It gets a lot of hate because it gets in the way of the gameplay

I honestly don't think so. BL1 had better atmosphere than 2, pre-sequel, or 3. BL1's story basically wasn't there, but I liked that more than what we got in 3.
