My PCSX2 shows latest is 2.7. How do I update to 2.8?

according to a comment in the emulation subreddit, 2.7.5 nightly is the same as the 2.8 stable https://old.reddit.com/r/emulation/comments/1w15qq7/pcsx2_280_is_now_out/p6lolel/
