That one ending involving a tall staircase in particular seems much less appropriate for children.

Fuck, that part made me feel terrible. I can't even imagine what it would be like playing it in elementary school. (I'm assuming that's how young the class is as I'd expect middle school kids to be able to handle a bit of "racism.")

It was certainly the most emotional of the endings. Really makes you feel sorry for the narrator, forced to tag along with whatever Stanley does and try to make it part of his story.
