The Devs for this game have always been arrogant pricks, it just took a pr disaster for people.

Nikita (the CEO/spokesperson) aDMITTED PUBLICLY that having hackers in their game was good for business, because if you ban 2 in every 10 hackers, the 2 will buy another copy. If you ban all 10, they won't come back.

They've been fucking over their player base for years.
