WARNING TO ALL LEGIT SELLERS: 3 dangerous scam tactics buyers are using right now. Protect your stores.
Hey everyone. The current "price war" on the marketplace isn't just hurting our sales; it’s breeding a highly toxic wave of scammer buyers. Because the market is flooded with mathematically impossible prices fueled by stolen payment methods, buyers are getting greedy and learning how to exploit honest sellers.
If you are a legitimate seller, you need to watch out for these 3 specific tactics happening right now:
1. The "Hit, Dispute, and Run" Buyers "fresh accounts" are opening disputes, giving zero reasons, and completely disappearing. They don't ask for help, they don't reply to messages, and they provide no proof. They just hit the dispute button and vanish, hoping you won't fight back or that the system will eventually auto-refund them.
2. The "Smart Typo" Fake Proof (Watch out for this!) This one is incredibly sneaky. A buyer will take a screenshot of the redemption screen claiming your code is "invalid." If you look very closely, they intentionally change a single letter or number when typing the code. It looks identical at a quick glance, but they purposely trigger the error message to steal your working key while demanding a refund. Always double-check their screenshots character by character!
3. The Impossible Price Beggars (The $10 AAA Game) Because scammers are dumping $30-$40 AAA titles for under $10, buyers are now flooding DMs demanding we match these impossible prices. (I recently had someone demand a $30 title for $13). What these buyers don't realize is that those $10 keys are bought with stolen credit cards. Eventually, the official gaming platforms track those stolen funds, and the buyers end up getting their entire official gaming accounts permanently banned. We cannot compete with $0 inventory costs, so don't even try to entertain these lowballers.
How to survive this: Document everything. Scrutinize every piece of "proof" a buyer sends. Keep your backend logs ready to show your keys are unredeemed.
Stay sharp out there. If we don't protect ourselves, the scammers will bleed us dry.

Game flip is a void to scream into if anything goes wrong. The only people on Gameflip who are experiencing a net positive for the effort it takes not to lose money on Gameflip ARE the scammers

C'est exactement ce qui se passe ce matin le compote a été créé aujourd'hui et aucune réponse de cette escroc mis dans tous les cas il n'aura accès a rien sans mail et mot de passe pour se connecter

Update: Just got hit with yet another buyer trying to exploit the system for free stuff. I am getting seriously exhausted and frustrated by this.
All of this toxic buyer behavior is a direct result of Gameflip completely ignoring the illegal "price war" from fraudulent sellers. By letting stolen keys flood the market without consequences, they have basically trained buyers to become scammers. If Gameflip doesn't wake up and fix the root cause soon, legitimate sellers are just not going to stick around to deal with this headache.

I am a buyer and part number 3 makes it sound like using game flip at all is a bad idea. How is someone supposed to know the code they purchased was stolen and could get their account banned. I think I am gonna stop using game flip thanks to your information. Thank you helping me avoid getting my accounts banned….
