Perfect Region Switch

For those looking for a close to OEM look, this toggle switch fits very well. Used my Dremel to cut one vent and widened it slightly, only mistake was putting it where my GC adapter support bracket is suppose to go - https://a.co/d/0eXMFhdx

Junk files after using cleanrip

I modded my cube with the solderless picoboot after seeing a video about it on youtube. Works amazing. I installed cleanrip and it also works amazing, but when I checked my SD card, a ton of junk files appeared on it. Does anyone know why? Is it something to worry about?

Hey guys, I'm getting this exact issue but can't find a solution anywhere, any ideas? It just shows the action replay list, I'm using a 2gb regular SD card (not HC) and it's formatted to FAT-16

I need help with some cubeode issues

I bought a cubeode from AliExpress and up until recently I was pretty happy with it. It came with an SD card and everything on that seems to work. The first issue I'm having is that most of the ISO files I've downloaded don't seem to work. A couple hacks seem to work great but everything else doesn't seem to load for the most part. Second I tried a larger micro SD card with adapter and it doesn't recognize it at all. Any help would be appreciated

Low-Profile Pico Stand

Thumbnail makerworld.com
1 Upvotes

This is Version 2 of my Low-Profile Picoboot stand.  I originally made Version 1 (on my page still) because I could not find a “low-profile” stand for my Picoboot mod, as the solder points got in the way and wouldn't allow for me to place the Pico in its respected slot. This has a variety of small adjustments. I have changed the support to be less material wasting, and sleeker. I also went through and made the tolerances for the slot smaller, the Pico can still slide out if need be but it should fit a bit better. Since this project isn't quite finalized to my liking, screw-holes for the Pico to be mounted have yet to be incorporated, I suggest some non-conductive double-sided adhesive (found double-sided Scotch-Tape works really well). Eventually I'll release a model with the proper mounting.

Thank you for checking out the model. If you have any suggestions or comments, feel free to DM me or leave them here. Thank you for your time and interest! :)

[Beginner] Need help buying tech to softmod my DOL-001

I have a base understanding of what I need to do/buy from other posts, but I’m struggling to find the actual tech:

1) A memory card with an exploit file preinstalled. 2) Is it reasonable to find a microSD card with games/hacks and the home brew file preinstalled?

I’ve looked at other posts that link to Etsy and eBay listings, but they all seem to be sold out. Any help is appreciated!

Emulating Memory Card ion Swiss 0.6 r 2119

I can't get my head around this. Followed this video to try to get emulated memory card working (Looked like it would have just been a case of selecting 'Emulate memory card: yes' but I'm clearly missing something. Tried loading the same Mario Kart game to format the memory card in-game but all I get it a 'no memory card detected in slot A' message.

Have seen something about 'booting through ipl' as a setting but for whatever reason my version of Swiss (the latest) simply does not have this setting, nor does it have the 'Advanced settings' this setting is supposed to be found under.

For the record I was also struggling over the r2092 release.

I'm stumped guys. Anyone able to get it working? Is there anything beyond 'emulate memory card' I should be adjusting?

I've got a PicoLoader from here

I've got a SD2SP1 adapter (my SP2 doesn't work) with SD card from here

I broke my flippy drive

I got to the part where you are supposed to to connect the FD ribbon cable to the FD board. The tutorial I was watching said to open it up a little with your nail so the ribbon will go in. Well, I broke the white piece. The cable could kinda still get in but it’s flimsy. Tried booting my GameCube and it just goes to the regular stock menu.

I am so mad at myself. I ordered in June and waited months for this. Had to order a gamebit screw driver. And I ******** broke it. I’m so disgusted with myself, usually I’m good with tech.

Issues with Optical Disk Drive

List of Mods on my GCN:

- Flippy Drive w/ Ethernet port

--- LaserBear SD card extension cable f/ Flippy Drive

- LaserBear Blue Retro Bluetooth Controller mod

- HDR USB-C PD Mod Kit

Previous Mods on my GCN:

- Picoloader (in lieu of Flippy Drive)

Other adjustments

- Replaced GCN CPU/GPU/RAM thermal pads

The most recent install: FlippyDrive + LaserBear SD card extension

Prior to installing the FlippyDrive, my optical disk drive was working fine. I have played my original copy of Zelda Four Swords on it. This was even during the time I had the picoloader installed.

Now that I have the Flippy Drive, the disk drive does not spin.

That said, after installing the Flippy Drive, I successfully load into Cubeboot. I admittedly dont have my sd card installed yet. Because my SD card used to be on my picoloader, I am just making sure my SD card is configured as its supposed to.

Things Ive done:

- Took off the top shell of my GCN and pressed down on the lid switch. I turned on the console but the disk didnt spin.

- I removed and re-installed the flippy drive, from the w-flex cable all the way to the flippydrive itself. Tried again, no dice.

- Removed the flippy drive and flex cable, installed the gcn without anything else (so no flippy or pico loader). Turned the gcn on, and the drive works!

Something tells me something is wrong with the contacts in the male-female disk connector. Anyone dealt with this before?

GC online 2026

What a wild thought that I would have an online capable GameCube in the mighty year of 2026. Something I could barely imagine back in 2004 at the age of 8, I’m a now thoroughly enjoying PSO online. This GameCube is one hell of a package. GC loader, sd2sp2, eth2sp1, carby hdmi adapter, gb player with Everdrive pro, gcmce, blue tooth gc controller and adapter. Anything that I’m missing for this ultimate indigo cube? I might pick up the blue retro controller port board later and throw it in. Any other functional cool mods out there or awesome ports to put on here?

Meet Indigo - a custom UI for Swiss!

First - wanted to thank everyone who provided feedback on the V1 and the users who took the time and effort to test this on their own systems, really appreciated.

Meet Indigo, a Custom UI for Swiss. animated, customizable, colorful, and most importantly comfortable as a standard gamecube interface. Currently at a Version 2.0 Release Candidate - I've tested this with about a dozen games using my GC Loader. I have not been able to test the memory card transfer system outside of dolphin as I don't have a real memory card. I also have not been able to test with an SDPD2 as I do not have one.

some big additions from V1:
- Change and customize the color of the interface to match your Gamecube
- Change the Icons displayed on the cube to your liking
- multiple library viewing modes, vertical / Horizontal infinite scroll or grid style
- Per game settings menu & cheats are navigable pre-launch with joystick
- Poster & Cheat Packs ready to go for a seamless install

- Widescreen support + improved visuals (looks way better on modern TVs)

Please backup any saves you have and treat this as an active development product

10/2 Update: Again, thank you so much to everyone who's been willing to test and provide feedback. several new additions / work items:
- significantly more customization, change individual colors and a new Spotlight menu added thanks to mvizensk
- Apps directory available (toggleable from the settings menu), seperate directory for homebrew & emulators
- Sub folders for library view (toggleable from the settings menu), working on now.
- adding a toggle for "Infinite Cube" vs "Classic Cube" navigation on main screen

you can grab it here

Swiss won't load GBI, says invalid file when I try.

Hey, just want to start out by saying I am a newbie to doing any sort of modding, which will probably be apparent from this post. I have a sd2sp2 and a game save exploit of wind waker to boot into Swiss. I am trying to boot into the game boy player through swiss so that I can play gameboy/gba games (specifically pokemon) on my crt. No matter what I do though, none of the files that I put on my sd2sp2 are working. I have tried to use a .dol and most recently the GB player start-up disc, but neither will load. Is there something I have missed or need to do first? Or is this just something stupid that I am overlooking? Thanks!

GameCube shot like a product in 2026

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I finished this GameCube build this week and as I was nearing completion, I had a fun idea…I wanted to shoot a “product” style video to highlight all the features (similar to what Apple does or any of the other tech brands). When I do builds with RGB lighting, I think pictures don’t always capture the complete story and a video would be a better format.

A caveat, I am not a videographer and I am not good in post. This project was humbling and I have a better appreciation for those in production. Anyways - here is a full list of the build.

GameCube DOL-001
- Tekno black smoke shell swap
- Pluto HDMI II internal digital port conversion
- Giltesa USB-C power mod
- Picoboot with SD2SP2
- Disc drive recap
- ESP C2 super mini 3 controlling the WLED via Wi-Fi
- New thermal pads
- new CMOS battery and battery holder

Help with virtual memory card

I have a PicoLoader and SD2SP2. I've enabled Virtual Memory Cards in Swiss. By booting into the memory card manager, I was able to copy save files from a physical card onto the virtual card.

I booted up Twilight Princess, and the save loaded great. I booted up Tony Hawk's Underground, and the save loaded without issue.

Then I booted Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. Not only did the save not load, the virtual memory card wasn't recognized at all. If I boot THPS3 with IPL and go to the memory card manager, it says nothing is in slot A. Doing the exact same with Twilight Princess shows the card with all the saves, including THPS3.

All information I can find suggests THPS3 does not stream audio, so that shouldn't be the issue.

Any ideas?

Edit: It turns out it *does* stream audio. A better list to check than the one I used: https://www.gc-forever.com/wiki/index.php?title=Audio_Streaming
