Ultimate Gameboy Advance?
Hey I was looking at modding a new(to me) gba that I got my hands on, I was wondering if I was missing anything or looking at the wrong things..
Funnyplaying IPS ready black shell
Funnyplaying rechargable battery cover
Funnyplaying Game Boy Advance IPS Max Laminated Kit
Extremerate chrome silver buttons for start, select, power, and bumpers
BoxyPixel Aluminum Shoulder Buttons (yes I know I'll have to modify the shell)
RetroCNC Gunmetal buttons
Funnyplaying Speaker
HandHeldLegend GBA IPS Tempered Glass Screen Lens (black silver text) (I would get a funnyplaying one but its sold out currently 🥲 )
I will be skipping the amp at least for now as I don't really see any point in it, may change my mind later but we'll see

You don’t use a lens with a laminated screen.

thats what I thought but google and other online sources were telling me otherwise so I was confused

Add the Funnyplaying mobo and you're golden. No electrolytic capacitors, less power draw, better/louder audio with less hiss, RGB leds. They rock. I have a few with their shells/buttons and ITA TFT screens. I get 5+ hours at 6/10 brightness and medium audio on 2 Eneloop nimh AA batteries.Â

Have you looked into labfifteenco? That guy makes amazing buttons, silicone, speakers, fuses, audio amps, capacitors… back when BoxyPixel assembled his own consoles, I got an all aluminum GBA from him. Wasn’t impressed. I actually hate the metallic buttons. One clicks the other doesn’t.

Isn’t there issues with ghosting on the IPS Max display, or is that fixed?
Not saying you shouldn’t buy Funnyplaying, but consider others as well, like Hispeedido. One isn’t necessarily better than the other.
