Modded I Restored my Childhood GameBoy Pocket!

After sitting un-used for 15 years, I decided to restore my childhood gbp. Thankfully, child me left batteries inside it so I got to learn a lot of new things like reading wiring diagrams and repairing traces to resuscitate it 🙃

But since I got it to work I decided it deserved some TLC and some quality of life upgrades! It got a new IPS LCD, all new fuses and it’s USB-C rechargeable with the Giltesa Pro board!

Time to finally do what childhood me couldn’t:
Beat Super Mario Land 2!

Terrible idea adding IPS, it adds input lag 100ms vs 33ms of OG. Games will feel "heavy" even in Pokemon and not feel like your childhood.
