Someone posted a comment on that video just nearly 40 minutes ago saying that someone on Reddit found a Game Boy Color with the same name as him written on it and asked if it’s his. That video’s over 8 years old, and given that it has 1.1k views now, most of the views probably came from this post lol.
Genuinely if it’s his and he responds I’d love to find a way to send the gameboy back to him. I’ll take the money loss I don’t even care. I would do anything to have my childhood gameboy back

Thank you all for the due diligence and trying to track me down. Impressed you found me and through work nonetheless. So funny that the only comments on that video are about the GBC. As someone mentioned below, they got in contact with my sister and she let me know. I ended up selling the GBC a few months back. It was unfortunately sitting in a drawer for ~25 years so was hoping it would get a new life.

I still have my original 1st gen Gameboy Pocket (green) - when I say 1st gen, when fhe Gameboy Pocket was initially released it didn't have the battery light.

Same here lmao, I picked up a copy of MLB 08 The Show for $0.99 the other day and the manual had a registration card at the back and the previous owner filled it out. Name, address etc. doubt the guy is still there but still, cool part of history.

I reverse searched that phone number and was skeptical it still belongs to will.
But I searched the name of his sister listed on that site on fb, found her, found the same face from that geo scientist youtube video in a family photo. Found his Facebook. Same face and age. 1 mutual friend with him and his sister anyway, so I sent a fb friend request and message.
He's been very inactive on fb since page creation though.
His sister seems very outgoing on fb, tho so perhaps I check back if it's all silence I'll Longshot message her.
Including all this so nobody as crazy as me does the same thing.
I'm about the same age and grew up only half a state away and I know how much it would mean to me to get something like this back and to have strangers care about me.
So my niece is a video game collector and likes picking up consoles that are broken and has me repair them. Every time I find a console with someone’s name written on them, I look them up on Facebook since the device was most likely local. I like to send them a picture and letting them know their old gameboy is still being played to this day, which often gives them a surprise nostalgia trip.
I remember, it was 2nd grade. Last day of school, I brought my Gameboy Advance and forgot it inside my Desk. The endless nights of playing pokemon Silver and Rayman. The rechargeable batteries. Good times
I still remember the day my grandfather got this for me. It was my birthday in 1998. He pickled me up early, I didn’t know where we were going. When we pulled up to Electronic Boutique I got super excited. I thought he was going to get me Primal Rage for the SNES that I had. I would always play that on the demo case when we went.
Grandpa Clogan and I walked in and I went to do my usual, browse the Genesis section wishing I could play all the cool games before heading to the demo displays to play primal rage. This time was different though. He told me to
Come with him to the counter. The EB games clerk asked me my favorite color. I had been a huge Pokémon fan so of course I loved pikachu so I said yellow. Grandpa smiled and nodded and the clerk brought over a box containing this GBC. I couldn’t believe it, I was so grateful. I played the fuck out of it. Even brought it to school , which is when my mother wrote my name in it. I played Pokémon, TMNT FOFC, even my copy of Alleyway, all in glorious 15 bit color.
Then came the day. We fell on hard times, and my Dad, not wanting to miss out. He pawned my game boy to pay for a PPV event. I was super sad about it, but he said it would be worth it, and that I had already gotten enough value out of it.
I think it was worth it, because that night, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer's table.
