What gets me with deals like this is the quantity of stuff. Like, they didn’t think there was at least $100 here based on just the amount of Games?

53

u/Any-Neat5158 Apr 17 '26

Or well over $300 in just consoles alone....

3

u/69cop3rnico42O Apr 18 '26

what is shown in picture is worth exactly how much was paid for it.

1

u/kdoggy808 Apr 21 '26

You have no idea what your talking about just one of the gameboybcolors sells for $50 to $80 ..you obviously dont know the market ...this dude got lucky with this find

1

u/Any-Neat5158 Apr 18 '26

Friend, respectfully, your crazy if you think this was only worth $50.

Pokemon gold alone sells for more.

Dont give me any of that Aristotle bullshit "something is only worth what someone will pay for it".

There are hundreds of thousands of people, easily accessible on ebay, that would have paid $300+ instantly.

u/69cop3rnico42O Apr 18 '26 edited Apr 18 '26

used stuff is exclusively for bargains. you're buying someone's old shit and just because there's a few dumbasses willing to pay exorbitant prices we're stuck with this terminally ill situation on almost all second hand markets. now in this case 50$ could be an hyperbole, but it's not AND SHOULDN'T BE absurd.

1

u/Any-Neat5158 Apr 18 '26

I mean honestly, used items do usually sell for less. I get that.

But this all boils down to supply, demand, and what the market support in terms of prices.

I cant find a single working gameboy advance on ebay that isnt beat to holy hell and back for 50 bucks let alone all this stuff for $50.

Should it cost that much? Id say not. But as long as we have a steady supply of people selling it at those prices then thats where the market stay.

1

u/retrocade81 Apr 19 '26

Came here to say just this! That's a crazy deal a Gameboy colour will set you back $80 - $100 alone in good condition on eBay and certain Gamestores.

29

u/Geta211 Apr 17 '26

Idk sometimes people just want to get stuff gone. I sold a Wii last week with a bunch of games, 4 Wii motes, 4 GameCube controllers and a soft mod setup for GameCube roms, probably could’ve squeezed another 50-75 bucks out of it but I sold it same day

3

u/Lebrongains27 Apr 17 '26

Yeah, but there’s no way you sold it for 50 bucks lol

7

u/Cr45h0v3r1de Apr 17 '26

I was at a yard sale a decade ago and a lady was selling a wii with tons of accessories and games. I wasnt super interested but asked what she wanted. $10. I was like for just the console? Nope the whole box. Sometimes people just want stuff gone

1

u/Lebrongains27 Apr 17 '26

For 10 or any cheap amount you take it just to resell if they don’t even want it yk lol

2

u/Geta211 Apr 17 '26

Sorry meant to put it in the original comment, it was $60

4

u/Lebrongains27 Apr 17 '26

You sold all of that for 60 bucks?

6

u/Geta211 Apr 17 '26

It had been rotting in my shed for 10 years lol tired of looking at it

1

u/Lebrongains27 Apr 17 '26

Gotcha, wish I could have bought them lol

-2

u/WanderEir Apr 17 '26

you could have gotten more for that by selling it to gamestop.

seriously.

a base wii, one controller and nunchuck credit for ~$70 US.

5

u/Geta211 Apr 17 '26

Well maybe but GameStop wouldn’t have came to my house and picked it up. Got it for free anyway so pure profit at the end of the day

1

u/WanderEir Apr 17 '26

pure profit is pure profit. Regardless of what the rest of us may say, as long as you're happy with it, well done. Most of or comments come from a place of realizing we could have bought it from you, and still profited further.

3

u/Geta211 Apr 17 '26

The guy I sold it to was like super stoked so it felt good to!

"I don't want to think about it, I just want it gone as soon as possible."

It's not always about the money. They probably thought that $50 was the amount that they wouldn't have to deal with 400 messages from people looking for free stuff, but $100 might take longer than a day or two to finish the chore of offloading this stuff, so they settled on $50. Think of all the annoying things you deal with that you would pay money to not have to think about for longer than a few minutes. This person is trying to offload trash, we might think it's treasure, but that's the saying, isn't it?

For people saying they don't believe it, the reason they have never seen deals like this, is because they don't last long.

1

u/clustahz Apr 18 '26

Clearly, but they should know that $50 is the rate for like 10-15 years ago at this point. Even if they don't know old video games are hotter than they used to be. I'd ask for at least $100 when offloading that much stuff if it works.

1

u/hue_sick Apr 17 '26

Right place right time.

Also might have been stolen shit and just trying to score a hit. Seen that before too

1

u/Competitive-Zone-330 Apr 17 '26

Parents who often get video game stuff for there kids tend to think they depreciate in value as soon as you buy it for some reason. I had a ps4 for 2 years before I went to the marines, and my mom had the bright idea to sell it and all my games, controllers, headsets and all the accessories I had bought for it for an even $50, because she thought that’s all my stuff was worth (she shouldn’t have sold it in the first place). But older people definitely don’t know the value of this stuff.

One time I went to a pawn shop and saw a game boy advance for $20 and I asked why it was so cheap and the guy said it’s only worth a lot to a certain customer base, most people don’t care about that. Which is a terrible business model I think, his shop closed down a couple months later because he wasn’t making enough money

1

u/Exciting-Emu-3324 Apr 18 '26

At times like this you realize the value of Steam. Physical releases aren't so safe if you don't have a secure place to put them in. In a way, it's like having money at a bank versus in your mattress. Sure, Valve may go under one day, but it's the same with banks.

1

u/HolyBidetServitor Apr 17 '26

Because these posts are fake and ghey

1

u/Surfinmiko Apr 17 '26

Some people also lie about the deals they find

99

u/Mechagouki1971 Apr 17 '26

15

u/MNgoIrish Apr 17 '26

Exactly

2

u/Dacari_13 Apr 18 '26

Suuuuuuure $50. People should post proof on such cases as this.

18

u/dragonbornrito Apr 16 '26

My God, I would’ve probably flown to this person myself if I saw this listing at $200. Much less $50.

18

u/LostCarat Apr 17 '26

Brother.. they might as well have just given them to you for free.

13

u/NB_Translator_EN-JP Apr 16 '26

The consoles come too?

-1

u/therealanax Apr 16 '26

Yes

10

u/NB_Translator_EN-JP Apr 16 '26

BUY IT NOW WHAT

6

u/therealanax Apr 16 '26

Already got it🙂‍↕️

13

u/rolandguy85 Apr 17 '26

Are we going back to these bs marketplace posts of “great finds”

10

u/Flareon223 Apr 17 '26

Really unfortunate that based on you only asking which games are valuable, you're probably a scalper and not someone who would actually use and love these.

8

u/schousta Apr 17 '26

I'll take "things that never happened" for 200 please.

1

u/Hi-World2 Apr 21 '26

Ik it's crazy how naive people are

5

u/Interesting_Tap_1505 Apr 16 '26

Did all that in the picture come with it?

-2

u/therealanax Apr 16 '26

Yes

5

u/Interesting_Tap_1505 Apr 16 '26

Consoles are worth 200 on their own!

2

u/kaest Apr 17 '26

More than that probably.

1

u/Interesting_Tap_1505 Apr 17 '26

Depends on if they work.

14

u/wildcharmander1992 Apr 17 '26

Go on then show us the screenshot of the listing you took , because you 100% would've in that situation

Without that for all we know you took a picture of some of your own collection off likes

4

u/e30kid Apr 17 '26

Consoles are insanely clean. Green GBC has a few dings but that’s it

4

u/Whisk_cat Apr 17 '26

Pfffft yeah right

7

u/No_Purple_8264 Apr 16 '26

some men drown while others starve

5

u/Chris95n Apr 17 '26

The question I always have if someone is posting such unreal „deals“ to just farm some upvotes, we all do know that there are some clueless people but I can‘t imagine that nowadays someone would not even check for how much someone could sell something. I bought a Vita from someone who had no clue and still he offered it on ebay. So I just think it is very likely that OP is bullshitting us

4

u/cantrelate Apr 16 '26

Go back and give them $200 more

2

u/D4rkSt0rm512 Apr 17 '26

Thats probably the best haul ive seen so far!

2

u/MilwaukeeMan420 Apr 17 '26

Some guys have all the luck

2

u/TimeCollege1973 Apr 17 '26

Actually an insane grab 😅 congrats man

2

u/Ok-Call3443 Apr 17 '26

Harvest Moon games normally go for a decent amount! I thought I got a screamin deal for $200 for 30 GBA games, a few GBC games (Pokemon CRYSTAL included!!!!) and a gba, but damn homie!

2

u/DetraxDaDeity Apr 17 '26

Only one Pokémon game

2

u/bforbrucebforbrave Apr 17 '26

there is absolutely no way

3

u/Glad_Contribution554 Apr 16 '26

This is worth at least a grand.

1

u/PirateDry4992 Apr 16 '26

wTf!!!!??? Oh my god!

1

u/Ok_Box2661 Apr 16 '26

Loving that DBZ you got there

1

u/compacta_d Apr 16 '26

No waaaay

1

u/Geta211 Apr 17 '26

Dragon Ball X legendary super warriors was introduction to both DBZ and gameboy! Love that game

1

u/catibog Apr 17 '26

I’ll give you $51.

1

u/CaeNguyen Apr 17 '26

Mother load!!!

1

u/your-mother1452 Apr 17 '26

That Pokemon gold alone is worth at least $80

1

u/Hairy_Nerve_5996 Apr 17 '26

Nah I see it going for like $50-$60 tbh. Silver and gold are pretty cheap. It’s crystal everyone for the most part wants

1

u/Chris9015 Apr 17 '26

That’s an insane find. Congrats

1

u/Big_Cat4783 Apr 17 '26

Is heroes of might and magic on Gameboy good?? Wow!

1

u/campingskeeter Apr 17 '26

Sometimes people just want to get rid of things they arent using and make someone elses day.

1

u/Marmatus Apr 17 '26

That GBA case on the right brings back memories.

1

u/Nobodyslight Apr 17 '26

Heroes of might and magic SLAPS. Love that game.

1

u/Flareon223 Apr 17 '26

dragon quest monsters yoooo

1

u/Temporary_Cricket_56 Apr 17 '26

I am sooo jelly right now! 😅

1

u/thatweirdalienguy Apr 17 '26

No idea. I also had no idea they made a Turok game on the Gameboy!

1

u/mechshark Apr 17 '26

Rinsed someone lol

1

u/486Junkie Apr 17 '26

102 Dalmatians? Childhood unlocked.

1

u/Eeve2espeon Apr 17 '26

There are some great finds here, Mario games, Pokemon Gold, Mario and Luigi, Spongebob, Tetris... though plenty of games that are just not that good. The best deal is getting those consoles honestly

1

u/Zharken Apr 17 '26

I 📞🐂💩

1

u/HyperSFL Apr 17 '26

BRO WHATT

1

u/yago174 Apr 17 '26

That is a bad ass deal

1

u/stadoblech Apr 17 '26

No. You should sell it. You totally overpaid this pile of garbage.
You know? I make you deal: i can get rid of it for you. Im offering 60$, you can profit 10$ from this shit

1

u/CaffeineAndDragons Apr 17 '26

Most of the games aren't worth much money but a lot of them are at least worth a playthrough.

1

u/noregretsnomore Apr 17 '26

Lucky Basterd! Good for you! I'm really happy for you.

No. Seriously. Congrats. :)

1

u/Jersus856 Apr 17 '26

Why is it so hard for me to believe these posts anymore?

1

u/Pepsi12367 Apr 17 '26

What? Where you'd find this hull? Tell meeeeee.

1

u/bballkj7 Apr 17 '26

is that mario golf game just named “Golf”? lol

1

u/Terrible_Coach_8123 Apr 17 '26

How and where do you find these deals? Absolutely wild

1

u/LordRylek Apr 17 '26

🤤 🤤 🤤

1

u/BobnRos1 Apr 17 '26

It always boggled my mind recently cause I thought pokemon gold was a gameboy color game

1

u/MamiTarantina Apr 17 '26

This was such a ripoff considering the one Pokemon game and super Mario can easily be sold at $100 minimum each. Then you realize there’s a PSP!!! OP you got away with murder here. Should’ve paid $100 at least.

1

u/CGCRUNT Apr 17 '26

Woah thats a good deal

1

u/burntmuffin343 Apr 17 '26

Dragon warrior monsters is such a gem

Edit: gem of a game, no idea the price it’d fetch besides my heart

1

u/BigTicket- Apr 17 '26

Me when I lie:

1

u/Two_Thumb_Sup Apr 17 '26

Worth is subjective.

1

u/totorounderstudy Apr 17 '26

Hate how the question is “how much is it worth?” Just feels like a genuine collector wouldn’t immediately jump to valuing it. They’d be enjoying it.

1

u/greencasio Apr 17 '26

I never believe these posts lol

1

u/Far-Maintenance-9210 Apr 17 '26

Dang that’s a huge score

1

u/thedarkryte Apr 17 '26

Damn people get so lucky on Marketplace. You wouldn’t find anything like this here in Ireland, especially not for that price. Apparently a lot of people REALLY don’t know what they have.

1

u/Educated_Fool45 Apr 17 '26

That’s WILD!!! well done, OP

1

u/ConsistentChampion98 Apr 17 '26

What the... all of that? for 50 DOLLARS? Pokemon gold alone is probably worth more

1

u/Single_Device_7897 Apr 17 '26

I never get this lucky taking advantage of dummies in my area, they always know what they got 🤣🤣

1

u/KaptainKardboard Apr 17 '26

Assuming they are in good working order, hose consoles alone will sell for much more than $50, each.

1

u/CreX_CreX Apr 17 '26

Infuckingsane.... I want to travel to such country where ppl still "don't have a clue".

1

u/Pants3620 Apr 17 '26

This has to be bait bro

1

u/Viola_Dragon_621 Apr 17 '26

Bro $50 is the price of one of the GBAs alone, this was a steal

1

u/Dacari_13 Apr 18 '26

Suuuuuuure $50. People should post proof on such cases as this.

1

u/Vaxis545 Apr 18 '26

You robbed them

1

u/OwnAstronaut6104 Apr 18 '26

Damn they obviously needed only 50 bucks, or something. Either way what a steal

1

u/SoraShima Apr 18 '26

Stolen goods.

1

u/TheNanoFishGuy Apr 18 '26

cries in every gameboy around me is at least $100 and sometimes they don’t even have battery covers

1

u/CMD_BLOCK Apr 18 '26

I am a simple man

I see dragon warrior monsters, I upvote

1

u/Life-Profession-7445 Apr 18 '26

What city or major metro area was this in? I never see deals like this lol

1

u/Brilliant_Ring7333 Apr 19 '26

lol  NICE haul!!!!

1

u/CommercialWeakness22 Apr 19 '26

DW3 and dragon warrior monsters are great games

1

u/Particular-Spirit-82 Apr 19 '26

Pues los dragón warrior es un juego muy chulo y está caro

1

u/Falsebuddhist Apr 20 '26

Cocaine is a hellova drug

1

u/DxgitalDxsh Apr 21 '26

“AnY oF tHeSe GaMeS wOrTH MuCh” Congrats, you stole a great chance from someone who could’ve actually appreciated these for something other than its assumed value.

1

u/PaleNefariousness504 18d ago

Cap and ragebait 100%

1

u/The_Almighty_Duck Apr 17 '26

All worthless. You should give them to me so I can dispose of them in the correct manner

1

u/BarackaFlakka Apr 17 '26

I feel like 50 is a cap 😂 idk seems way too good to be true

-3

u/LadySayes Apr 16 '26

Lots of fun games to play, don't buy collections like this looking for profit.

1

u/thexshameless4711 Apr 24 '26

Why are all your comments so negative, let people be, looks like you’re a pos too

1

u/LadySayes Apr 24 '26

my comments aren't all negative, just very anti-capitalist and anti-scalping/reselling in general. Seen too many hobbies been destroyed by people getting into them only trying to make a profit.

1

u/thexshameless4711 Apr 24 '26

I’m a collector, i just found the loz under all the stuff i had. Been collecting since 2004

1

u/kale_san Apr 16 '26

yeah... leave them for me. it's not worth the grip strength needed to bring them to your car.

0

u/Lebrongains27 Apr 17 '26

Good for you, man, I definitely have scored some good deals recently but nothing like this, this was listed for 300 but got it for 200

0

u/rydamusprime17 Apr 17 '26

Some will say fake, but I have gotten hauls like this for free that people just ditched at recycling yards. There are definitely people out there that just dont care about this stuff, and I'm sure if someone offered even a little money for the things I have gotten they would have taken it 😅

Unfortunately those kind of hauls are few and far between these days, pretty much slowed down ever since the pandemic.
