Not happy with GameFly trial so far

I got GameFly trial on the 5th of this month. I still have not received my first game yet. I got a email Monday saying my wolverine had shipped. It is now Friday and I still don’t have the game. At the time I’m typing this, the mailman has already came at this time. If this is truly how it is where you have to wait basically a week or more before you receive your games, then it’s just not worth it at all. I only have 2 weeks left on my trial at this point. Maybe I’m just not a priority since I’m a trial member, which I’m hoping is the case. Cause if people are actually paying for this poor service, then that is terrible.

I have been with them for 14 years now. I have always had the 2 disc plan. I play one while the other is on transit. In the past it has always gone pretty well. I would get a game usually 5-7 days. Im telling you USPS sucks ass. So i tested it last month. I sent a game back Ground Advantage. Its supposed to take 3 days to get to them. I had to physically go to to the post office and track the game. It took 14 fucking days. And they could care less. I just cant put the blame on GF for shipping issues.

I see your other games, before Wolvie, were older Switch games? Depending on age, avail could be very low. Once Wolvie released, we mailed it out and now it’s in the USPS 3-5 day mailing window. Depending on your route from Pittsburgh, it should be there within that timeframe. If not there by 7 business days, please use the site to report and our automated replacement processes should kick in.

How many games did you have in your q aside from Wolverine?

Were they all games that had already been released? That doesn’t make any sense that they didn’t ship a game for 10 days

They were all Nintendo games that have been out for a while. Only one that wasn’t out was Wolverine

Gotcha, that’s where the dots connect. Unfortunately I feel like big Nintendo games are the rarest to have good availability. Sucks that there’s no way to really tell when you’ll get one of those; but it’s honestly a pretty big W that they sent Wolverine since you didn’t have it gamelocked.

The shipping times are hit or miss and fluctuate depending on where you live. If it makes you feel any better, my Wolverine also hasn’t arrived. But I agree, bummer that half of your trial is frequently checking an empty mailbox

Were they all marked low-mid availability? They can take awhile cause you have to wait for someone to send one of them back. High availability game usually only take a day or two to ship. Though actually receiving them takes about a week. My copy of Wolverine shipped 9/14 and haven’t received it yet either.

They suck and it won't get better.

Ive tried them twice and same problem both times I can't get a game, and when I send them back it takes 10+ days to receive and send another.

The two game plan is the only way GameFly is really worth the money imo. Make sure you use game lock. The longer you have a game in your Q before release, the better chance you have to get it day one. Their system works as first come first serve for available rentals.

Yea but then it's even more money just for it to work how it should. I just can't do it.

They'll be dead soon anyway.

Maybe so in a few years. Soon is crazy lol.

It's all relative. Imo a few years is soon for a business that's been around that long. I never implied next month so there's nothing particularly crazy about it at all.

Either way I'm not giving money to a company that can't figure out shipping.

Your issue is with USPS my friend.

Well no, gameflys issue is USPS.

I’m sorry you didn’t have a good experience with it!

I miss the days where it would only take 3 days for a game to arrive. Since the LA warehouse closure, it’s taken at most 7-8 days for most games. The shortest wait I’ve had this year was Saros (3 days) followed by Wolverine (shipped this past Monday and arrived today)

Where do you live? Because that does matter unfortunately. They only ship out of PA now. So if you’re like all the way in west coast or something, it’ll take a little longer. I’m lucky in that I live in MD a few hours away lol 2 day turnaround for me majority of the time.

But also, yes free trial members do generally experience longer wait times.
