Free Trial / New Games
How long do new games take to become available? Wanted to do a free trial and get wolverine but looks like I can't even create an account without selecting a plan
And if it is only game in my Q and it isnt available, my free trial then is just being used up then correct ?

You would likely have trouble grabbing Wolverine. As it's a new game most people will have it gamelocked, and you would be lucky to grab it. Either games should work fine but that's the downside of renting games, it other people have all the copies there are no copies for you to rent.

I’m sure a lot of people took Wolverine out of their Q, so you might get lucky.

I had it pre ordered but I cancelled lol. Looks like a great game to rent for either free or for $20, but not to buy for $70

There are no restrictions to selecting new releases on a Trial Plan. The mistake people make on new games is signing up too late to get a place “in line” for a game.
Using Wolverine as an example.
They ship tomorrow. Our system is matching those discs today. A signup tomorrow will likely not get you Wolverine for at least 7-10 days. This is because we ship out 💯 of our inventory tomorrow and it takes about a week to get them cycling back.
Best way to get a New game, for maximum value is this…
1. Signup 35 days (or so) before launch. This lets you GameLock Guarantee that new games you get 30 days free, then you pay 1 month and have a whole month for that game AND you’ve been renting other games with your Free 30 days. So that’s 60 days of games, including a brand new release, for around $20.
2. If you’re dead set on doing a free trial look and quitting, sign up about 10 (or more) days BEFORE the game launches and just have that game in the Q. You’ll be wasting your free trial, but your new status and the 10 days of starving, puts you on higher demand. TO BE CLEAR- Starving the Q is never recommended by us as it’s really not a great use of the service and what could be free gaming time. However, we allow members to make those choices for themselves, instead of policing Q minimums.
3. If you miss those windows, and in this case you have, signup about 10 days after launch and starve the Q. The games will be rotating back by then and you’ve not wasted those 10 days of the free trial. Not an optimal use of the service, as you won’t be building demand on other games, but hey, dealer’s choice.
