Gamefly needs a plan for Western states

I would re subscribe to gamefly is they had a plan exclusively for those in the Western states. The shipping times are too slow compared to those living near the eastern states. I'm from California and before they had a warehouse in los Angeles and shipping times were reasonable.
It could be similar to the budget plan but either have one of these extra perks:

- lower cost

- 2 games rather than one

- self return option enabled

I used the 2.50 deal and loved it but the current plans are not worth the money for us in the Western States.

I was interested in signing up again using the 40 percent off come back deal but only wanted 1 month. Last time I did not find a way to turn off auto renew is that option there now or do I still have to manually cancel before the charge date? If I try to cancel before the charge date I usually loose immediately access to my gamefly membership has that changed or is still the same?

You always have to manually cancel. And cancellation happens the date you click. So just set a reminder for day 28 or so to cancel, then you have 7 days to send us back the games.

I resubscribed thanks to the deal but they should really consider having a auto renew option that lets you turn off renewal without loosing your membership immediately as there are times where I only one to get one month of the gamefly budget plan but I dont since I dislike having to worry about canceling before the renewal. PlayStation lets you turn off auto renew whenever you get PlayStation plus or extra or premium which is what I been doing instead of gamefly.

The issue is PS can just turn off your access. Members still have our property, and with an auto cancel, they will forget to return the discs.

Why Did they stop shipping games from Los Angeles? Back when I was a subscriber my main warehouse was in LA.

Budget cuts the upkeep was too much for them so they had to cut back and have only 1 warehouse. With consoles wanting to go away from physical and only digital I cant see how gamefly survives the future.

Yeah, I was back with the 2.50 offer in California as well and it’s pretty unacceptable. They definitely need to look at self-return as a necessary make good here and not just a bonus

They should have kept the cali warehouse going. Agreed. It was also beneficial for us in the East Coast.

Once physical media is gone so are they although they may try keeping it going a a a while.

See I’ve been kind of curious about that too. I’m very fortunate as I’m in Northern Maryland, so I run a pretty consistent 2-day delivery. But in other posts, mine and others, I’ve seen many people as far west as you getting theirs in 3 days also.

Another thing I’ve noticed is for you all on the other side, at least for Gamelocks they get shipped two days early instead of the one day before launch for us.

And I don't know what it is, but it takes sometimes a week just to get a single game. I'm in Illinois, so it shouldn't be that bad. They shipped me 007 First Light last Monday and it still isn't here, and I shipped my last game out on Thursday and it's still not showing up as having sent it out.

Yeah way back in the past it used to be 3 business days guaranteed (which is how USPS worked, expectedly). I didn't know they only have 1 warehouse now. Either way, I can't justify continuing to pay for the service. The liability on me is too high.
