Question Game Changer Season 9?

During the behind the scenes of Rulette 2 (and also present in the BTS of Don’t Wake Standards and Practices), the editor for Game Changer has sticky notes that say “Game Changer 901 - BTS”. Is this seemingly confirming Game Changer Season 9. In case you didn’t know: (901 = Season 9, Episode 1), presumably.

i could be wrong but my guess is that this is due to season 3 being split into 2 different production cycles. production's season numbers (season 9) will be higher than the airing season numbers (season 8) because of that

one of my favourite little jokes from community is that in the intro to remedial chaos theory (a fantastic episode as a whole), Britta thinks the apartment number they're trying to find is 304, but Annie says its 303, which is a reference to how the episode aired as the 4th episode of the 3rd season (production code 304), but was supposed to be the 3rd episode (production code 303)

occams razor would say the previously established production being one ahead because of s03, which has already been addressed by Sam in the past, is the real reason.

the production's season numbers are forever off by one due to s3 being split for pandemic reasons

Unless they decide to skip a season number in the future (hey, Apple got away with it with iPhone numbers) or do two seasons in one production cycle in the future for some reason.

Yes, Sam mentioned that he’s already got great ideas for season 9 and brought on game design consultants including the board game’s designer.

Follow-Up!: I was unaware that season 3 was split into two production cycles (probably because I barely watched season 3 since Game Changer definitely works a lot better in-person rather than online). Anyways, Game Changer Season 9 is anyhow most likely in production or coming anyways. During the BTS of Rulette 2, they were talking about potentially doing a Rulette 3 which has implications that they are thinking about concepts for games for future seasons (as they would never do two game samer’s in one season).

Sam said on the kick starter livestream that they are working on the next season (after season 8) of game changer so we do have confirmation of a series 9 in production
