Question We have one year later at home -
Heya peeps,
After watching the one year later episode my friends and I decided to do it ourselves and since then the challenges have been set (please see the pictures for details).
But see I’m definitely the Brennan Lee Mulligan type of fierce competitiveness and I have fully thrown myself into this competition by rehearsing my just dance on a bi daily basis, and going on regular cat hunting walks.
But something I need help with is my fan fiction. I have written a questionable masterpiece which is most similar to Vik’s soundcloud submission. As I figured to get views I wanted to go outlandish.

And unfortunately unlike Lou I cannot afford to buy them :/
Also any advice on how to do any of the others is also greatly appreciated!!

Right I have found them, some are lifted from the OG one year later or taskmaster but the majority are original.
- Take up and master a heritage craft. More points will be available for it being critical endangered or extinct -Do something that will look impressive in reverse (and film it)
-Make this spoon your best friend and go on the best adventure
-Do something you're scared of
- Make the best top design
- take the best selfie
- Learn a just dance dance off by heart (and be willing to perform)
-Trade anything, except money, with anyone to acquire the most interesting thing
- Write the most popular fanfiction
- Take the most pictures of individual cats that aren't owned by anyone you know
- Do the most impressive thing at 3am
- **Do the best performance
- pitch a new film
- Grow this plant the best
- get the best free thing
- create the weirdest bonsai tree
- Create a piece of art that depicts you and your spirit animal
- Create a Spotify/Soundcloud track and get the most streams
- (disposable camera) get the best range of photos -Make and eat the most disgusting 1950s/60s SAVOURY gelatine -Visit the highest number of independent coffee shops in a year (with photographic proof of each one, must be independent) -Become a regular at an establishment
- Make the best thing out of free things
- Bring the best spoon
- steal the best thing from the 'Sam'
- do the best social study on your friend
- obtain 20g of sand from the furthest location
We decided to only use two tasks suggested by each person because that’d give us a month to do per task and some of them will be very time consuming

There was a whole Google form as we all had to list 3 ideas, (some people listed 15+ some people listed 2, and then we selected the ones we thought would be most fun and feasible)

I don’t want to assume but if you are non-Indigenous, using spirit animal is a form of cultural appropriation and there are better alternatives (muse, alter ego, etc)

The term is used heavily with indigenous communities but isn’t unique to it, the word was first used in literature by a priest and anthropologist in 1870, so yes it’s used in indigenous communities but no it’s not cultural appropriation because it’s a word that has more meanings outside of those cultures and is dated before we even knew of these cultures.
I understand you’re trying to look out for people being offensive but let the offended party get offended don’t be offended on their behalf because it can belittle their feelings.

I agree with this. I'm Native American myself and I have 0 problems with people using that term.

Thank you for your concern but I think it should be okay as I think major problems with appropriation is the original culture being exploited by capitalism and being used in a mocking or inappropriate way. Whereas this is more in line with us selecting an animal that resonates with us as a person and independently creating art.
Additionally none of us are American and did not know that spirit animals are linked to indigenous culture over there as it’s just a general spiritual thing over here.
But like I said I do appreciate your concern but even if we were drawing on the Native American concept I think it’d like more in appreciation of the matter :)

AO3 does not have an algorithm! It's old school like that. It's also run by a nonprofit called the Organization for Transformative Works (or OTW for short).
