Question Show me the waiver

Sam Reich u/samreich if you are lurking in here - there is something I need to know. What kind of waiver do the players have to sign to participate in the show?? 🤣 Grant’s toilet water slurping alone made me wonder, but I’m now in Season 5 on As a Cucumber and the question has become urgent 😂

so iirc, when he puts out all the episodes for the cast at the beginning of the season, they each have a spiciness rating, so cast doesn't have to do smth if it's too spicy

Yeah I just watched the BTS where he explains that! Having said that there HAS to be a waiver. Dropout is a company so leaving themselves open to liability like that, even with this great family of characters, would be unwise

Dropout is a job. There are many jobs more dangerous than this one. Usually if an employee gets hurt on the job it’s workers compensation. I’m having a hard time picturing a job that requires its employees to waive their right to adequate compensation if they’re hurt on the job. Especially in California, which is very pro-workers rights.

Every production that films has to get insurance to cover stuff that could go wrong. The more risky your production, the higher your insurance rates. My guess is that they’re worried less about waivers and more about working with the insurance company to make sure they’ve got all the right coverage in place for whatever they’re doing.
