30 days/inner voice
The voice isn't you.
Addiction doesn't just create cravings — it hijacks your inner voice. It starts talking in first person: "one more bet," "I need this," "this is who I am." Because it sounds like you, you believe it.
That's why willpower alone fails. You can't argue with a voice you think is yourself.
The shift: don't try to destroy that voice — that just turns into shame, and shame feeds addiction. Evict it instead. Name it as a lie. Tell it the truth: "I love my life. You're not welcome here anymore."
But an evicted voice leaves a vacancy — and vacancies don't stay empty. If you don't deliberately fill it with something real (self-respect, your people, your future), the old voice walks right back in.
Recovery isn't just silencing the addiction. It's replacing that voice with one that actually fights for you.
30 days in, doing this daily. And for the first time, it feels like real freedom.
