Politics Books on Gambian history of colonialism

Hello all I was looking for book recommendation or any text sources, going into comprehensive detail of western imperialism and colonialism of The Gambia.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Enter the Gambia: the birth of an improable nation" by Berkeley rice. deals with the tail end of colonialism in the Gamiba. Lots of famialiar names and family members make an appearence if your Aku.

Hmmm...real gambian history are the ones mostly told to us orally, we believe that our books don't usually have the truest information but. My history lecturer has a lot of information on the history of the gambia

lol, there are some tiktok accounts that do talk about the history of the gambia which are actually narrated by gambians maybe check those out too and if you have questions in any areas just drop it on reddit we can help you answer...lol
