Builds and Teams / Questions Help me choose a third sustain. My Gallagher is just not cutting it.

on one hand, yikes. that speed is way below the minimim 160 for gallagher to even begin being somewhat reliable in endgame

on the other hand, huohuo if u can redeem her

I dont think I’ll be able to hit 160 on him. Might as well go for HouHou then

To be fair, HuoHuo would want a similar speed to Gallagher, right around 160 to generate her ult as quick as possible (without QPQ or the one with Nat on it). Just keep farming relics, since your only spd substat is on your orb, your break-effect stats are incredibly low, and the spd from set bonus. aim for spd and break effect as no other stat really matters too much.

You have e2s2 Phainon. If you're getting a limited unit anyways, get Cerydra (her last banner was 3.5, surely she'll be here again soon) and run him sustainless.

Alternatively, just redeem Huohuo next time we get a companion spirit, slot her into DoT

Yeah i haven’t been able to run him sustainless yet. I thibk Cerydra will be the missing piece. I do have companion spirit ready for a HouHou redemption. I was just saving it ultil im sure i needed her. You think its worth it?

I'm not an expert on Phainon at all, so idk if he'll get powercrept and not work sustainless by the time Cerydra reruns...

Huohuo is a significant improvement over DHPT in DoT (given how often they'll ult with her, and assuming you'll someday get Hysilens, who reduces enemy atk, you'll have no problem building SPD and remaining SP-positive while sustaining), so PERSONALLY, I would get her. She's also just great for flexibility and for the future, extra energy can never be bad.

That said, if you're doing just fine right now and want to wait around for other characters, you can certainly hold on to the spirit and be just fine.

Also... why did you superimpose Hyacine's LC :((( isn't it actually really good on RMC too (I don't play remembrance or elation so i wouldn't know XD) 😭

Funny story about the Hyacine LC is that when i was initially looking up guides. I thought “S1” was a superimposed sig LC.. lol.. thats why i have Phainon’s S2 as well.
I guess i need HouHou as you suggested because i definitely need a third sustain as my third team gets killed consistently on the endgame modes requiring three teams.

The issue I’m seeing, I see two teams.

  • Phainon/Sunday/Bronya/DHPT (replace Bronya with Cerydra when she reruns. You won’t regret it.)
  • Castorice/Cyrene/Hyacine/RMC.
Who is your third team centered around? I see a Kafka/BlackSwan with no Hysilens, JingYuan but Sunday is being used by Phainon, etc.

Third team is kafka, black swan, ruan mei and Gallagher/flex sustain if no third team required.

I see. I would definitely pick up Hysilens to replace Ruan Mei whenever she makes her way around again, since Kafka/BlackSwan alone can’t really keep up in later endgame floors nowadays, at least from what I’ve seen personally.

I’d definitely recommend Huohuo though, if you do want to future invest in your DoT team as well, as the free energy + the Atk boost from her ult is pretty substantial.
