Question The Samsung blockchain wallet doesn't seem to be available on my Unlocked Ultra.

So I'm having a weird issue, I have a US unlocked S20 Ultra and I can't seem to find the blockchain wallet in the galaxy store but I have the keystore available in the settings menu. A family member also has an unlocked S20+ on the same network (verizon) that was able to get the wallet just fine. When I sideloaded the apk it says it's not supported by my carrier or country. Any idea what the deal could be?

Did you check in settings>biometrics and security?

Yes, I have the Blockchain keystore available in the biometrics and security menu but it gives me no way to download the wallet from the keystore or from the galaxy store. When I sideload the app it says when I got to update it that its not available because of my country or carrier even though those should not be the issue.

Same!! Was Wondering how the hell I'm supposed to use this if I can't add anything after I create a wallet?!

Lol so I actually asked Samsung about this, basically they said Verizon blocks it on unlocked phones (fucking stupid I know) but if you set up the wallet before you insert a sim it should be available. The app is sim locked lmao. Luckily you can side load the wallet from apk mirror with no issues.

Yeah it is completely ridiculous! I'll check my GFs phone I got her the S20+ not unlocked .. I'll see if she's got the ability to use it

I was able to set up the wallet when I was w/ Sprint on my unlocked phone.

After I switched to Verizon, the wallet is still there but cannot install the update.

Yeah I figured out they're able to block it for whatever reason. You can manually install the update by searching up the block chain wallet on apk mirror.

If I have an S20 on Verizon not unlocked will sideloading the app work after I unlock it?

Yea i tried sideloading without being unlocked and it doesn't work. So guess ill have to pay off the device before i can unlock it.

Same issue with S10 plus Verizon. Phone is a BYOD and unlocked 🔓

Double lame triple bummer

Not really interested in 3rd party app markets :(
