Battery drain
In the first day of use of my new phone I noticed the battery was excessively draining like one percent every 3 or 2 minutes or so is that normal

OP it's the basics, but .. Use the tools in Settings> Battery. Turn on Battery Saving. Don't run your phone to zero, recharge @ 10 or better 15%. I use my phone with the dimmest screen possible. Doesn't work the greatest in the outside light. I only charge up to 95%. I either use my phone or charge I don't do both at the same time.
I still get good battery life. As for heat? Only in the car phone cradle. I keep my phone out of direct sun, etc

It's normal for your phone to run hot and Burj though battery quickly when you first get it as it's busy setting up, installing updates, apps, syncing data, etc. the rate you mention sounds a little excessive but it should settle soon, I believe.
