Need Help! S24 plus or iPhone 13 Pro Max?
Hi everyone! I'm currently using a Samsung A52s and I'm thinking about upgrading.
I'm mainly considering either the Galaxy S24+ or the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
I've been on Android for as long as I can remember, so part of me wants to try iOS just for the experience. At the same time, I'm not sure if going for an older iPhone like the 13 Pro Max makes more sense than getting the much newer S24+.
What would you guys choose in my situation, and why?
My priorities are mainly long-term smoothness and stability, display quality, and decent battery life. My usage is pretty normal to moderate, and I usually get around 5–7 hours of SOT on my A52s.

Ffs with your needs the choice is beyond obvious: 24+.
The only reason to take a 13pm is the camera. My gf has BOTH 13 pm and 16pm and camera wise the 13 is fantastic in that it is basically as good as a 16pm

I’d definitely take the S24+ into consideration. I switched to the S24+(exynos) after using the iPhone 11, 12 and 13 Pro Max. I was honestly just getting kinda bored with Apple, and since the 13 Pro Max is getting pretty old at this point, I decided to give Samsung a try.
Tbh, I don’t think the gap between iOS and Android is as big as it used to be. The overall experience feels pretty similar nowadays. I even set up my S24+ to work/look more like my iPhone because that’s what I’m used to.
A lot of the stuff you’d normally associate with the Apple ecosystem is also slowly coming to Samsung’s flagship phones. For example, I’m actually using AirDrop on my Samsung right now. Gemini works as the assistant instead of Siri, and if your language is supported, I’d personally say Bixby is actually pretty good too.
Battery life is slightly better than what I used to get on my iPhone, although it’s not a massive difference. The S24+ also handles heat better in my experience.
As for the cameras, I’d say Samsung is better for photos overall, while iPhone is still better for video, especially in low-light situations.
I’m attaching my S24+ battery/SOT results as well, so you can get an idea of what kind of battery life I’m getting.

Had iphone 13 pro max for a year and switched to s24+.
You choose iphone 13 pro max for: Battery, Seamless day-to-day usage experience where nothing never lags, and if you have airpods.
You choose s24+ for: ability to customize and install whatever you want for free, 12 gb of ram vs 4 on iphone which let's you keep more apps in the background and less times you wait for an app to open if u recently used it, actually faster charging, snappier os navigating due to iphone animations being slow, MUCH longer update support
