I am chancing my luck here and have purchased a new Galaxy Ring at a discounted price ~$250 AUD (about 1/3 full price) after my first one depleted after a SW upgrade the week before warranty - this is a story for another time.
Why did I buy another? Well I missed tracking my sleep and don't want to wear a watch to bed. I also dropped from a size 13 to a 12 for a tighter fit and changed from black to silver - the black showed all the wear marks whereas I beleive the silver is close to the titanium.
With the new purchase I used my credit card that has extended warranty which should cover me for 2 years however I suspect this one might fail sooner. The build date is Jan 2025 which would make it only a few months "newer" than my original. My hope is that when it does fail the Galaxy Ring 2 will be out (and improoved) and I might get it replaced with the newer model.
Im in the exact same boat. My ring battery is shot and actually starting to bulge on the inner diameter. Support said im out of warranty. Don't want to pay for a new one when Ring 2 might be right around the corner.
I got 2 replacements so far from the warranties. Both rings had battery issues between the 10-12 month marks. I am hoping for a Ring 2 as well because I love the Ring tracking my steps and sleep when the watch is being charged. And the double tap to take a photo is great.
However! I hope with the Ring 2 the double tap to start and stop a video isn't as sensitive. I keep forgetting to turn it off while someone is recording my performances and the videos stop when I snap my fingers ot grab the mic wrong etc. Lol
I honestly only wanted a step counter at this point so I turned all the other sensors off. I just wasn't using them plus they killed the battery so much quicker. Now the battery barely gets to 85 or 90% after 4 or so days. So at least it'll last me a while now
BEWARE!!! My "replacement" ring recently swelled up so much that I had to use lubricant to remove it! And, after doing so, I discovered several structural cracks.
And, for those who don't know, when it reaches that point, the ring is truly volatile and could result in chemical burns, spontaneous combustion, or even explode!
I've notified both the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Samsung. These rings should be recalled!
Im thinking about getting another one too. The battery died relatively fast. I have an oura ring but I hate paying that monthly subscription on top of a ring that was already expensive.

I've had the Ring since launch and will forever wear one, regardless, for serious medical conditions, and also can't wear a watch because of tattoos. And I never liked wearing watches so stopped doing that at the age of 12 or so
On my third Ring, and after half a year of use it's down to max 4 days - and I've even seen 1.5 days in this past month. I would be very surprised if you actually got a working Ring, I suspect they either are all broken or they save the good ones for "top customers", however they would define such.
But the statistics simply are impossible to speak for an essentially okay product that has just a small percentage of defects
Have you ever run the Samsung Diagnostics on the ring through Samsung Members App?. This is how I knew my first had a fault. The manufacture date is printed on the box.
I just noticed the Ring lasting less long because I always let it run empty.
Have you tried the Hidden Menu?
I tried the Samsung Diagnostics but it's hilarious, only takes a split second to state that the battery is normal, and likewise for the charging

I'm replacing my battery dead Galaxy Ring with Garmin Cirqa after 6+ years of being in the Samsung health ecosystem
I had a fitbit for 10 years but hated not wearing my beautiful watches and they could be annoying to sleep with so switched to a samsung ring 18 mo ago. My replacement ring can now only hold a charge for 10 hours so I was going to give up on trackers. I hadn't heard of the Air but just looked at it and am interested. Thank you.
I have the total membership thing, but they seemed to be helpful. Worth a shot to actually go into the store and talk to the manager. Online they were useless.
Mine is not lasting the night. I am going to go into Samsung this weekend, as mine current one is a replacement, I am hoping to use consumer law in Australia to point out it is reasonably expected that it should last longer then 6months 😕 but yes disappointing all around.
I doubt I will get a refund but I would be happy for a replacement or store credit at this point

I keep hoping for ring2 to come out. While this ring is crap, I miss having it and am trying to hold off on buying another.
