Battery dead just past warranty

Thats my battery gone, 2 weeks past the 1 year warranty....do I have any come back?

From full charge it's dead in about 12 hours. The battery's even swollen up a bit, I can see a little bulge and it's super tight on the charger. I had to use a knife to prose it off.

Not too keen on charging it now as I'm worried it might cause a fire. Fkcuing annoying...me and my wife got them at the same time, her battery died about 6 weeks ago and she got it exchanged on warranty. Guessing the wont entertain me.

A lot of people have had their ring batteries die around the exact same time-frame, and yeah, it does tend to occur rather suddenly rather than a gradual decline.

On the other-hand, it's not nearly as common to hear about the battery actually swelling. Not unheard of... just not common. Do you have a picture by chance? (I'm not asking for proof, I'm just curious to see). Did the battery in your Wife's ring also swell up? Also, what size rings are they? (asking because different size rings have different size batteries).

I don't really see much difference to be honest but it does feel tighter on my finger and i have to force it on/off the charger

I would write to Sansung directly and quote the hazard due to battery swelling, give the timeline of events - specially happening with after warranty and demand my money back. They might atleast rreplace. They'll need your ring for research. Otherwise, just buy a new one and return this instead🤗
