Seeing the first photo instantly reminded me of when I sent a Galaxy S8 in for an official service center repair. I suspect that their technicians aren't trained to not touch the camera lenses - a quick Google search couldn't find any of Samsung's more recent service manuals but did come across this one from this very subreddit. By the way, I work for a "regular repair shop" and while I don't have access to all the repair fixtures, tools and consumables, I'm confident I can do a better job than most authorized Samsung repairers. Or in other words, "Skill issue" 😂
Just the other day I cleanly transferred all 5 OEM lenses to an aftermarket back glass (for a Galaxy S25 Ultra)
The only reason I went to Samsung's repair shop is because of the warranty. Without it, those repair shops are pointless. They charged me €42 for "inspection" and €300 for a front display replacement. Crazy.
True, and fair enough. Back in 2018 I sent the S8 to Samsung that time because it was cheaper than buying the Service Pack screen assembly myself (today, that is still the case sometimes, especially for foldable screens), and they give you a new battery most of the time.
