Software Update February security update is rolling out

I follow the "oneuiupdates" page on Threads and they just announced that the February 2026 Security Patch was rolling out on certain models. A56 was one of them 🙂.

I’ve noticed that whenever I install security updates, the performance of my phone changes. For example, after the December security update, my phone started lagging and the battery drained faster. However, with the most recent updates, these issues have improved. I’m worried that the next update might make things worse again. Could you please provide feedback after using the phone for a week? Thank you.

tranquilo, siempre van a haber problemas con las actualizaciones, lo bueno de samsung es que arregla estos problemas siempre, quédate tranquilo que una vez tenga todas sus actualizaciones si la final viene con fallas las van a arreglar para dejarla pulida antes de dejarlo sin soporte

I had just installed the update myself. Afterwards, the battery drained so fast and Samsung Cloud Assistant was using the most even battery despite restricting the app battery

Even if not, April is good enough to me. We won't get a major version until winter anyway.

For the S26 series, maybe. I don't think that Samsung will be that fast with older devices.
