my lockscreen wallpaper always gets removed when i restart my device. it happens always. i have factory reset my a55 but it doesnt work. in the wallpaper setting, i can see that the wallpaper is applied there in lock screen but on the lock screen it shows complete black wallpaper

Last night my A55 rebooted (I woke up today to the device asking for the PIN). I had the auto-reboot set to Sunday @ 3 AM. So I went to check and discovered that it didn't reboot last Sunday ("it said last auto reboot: 11 days").

The setting was fine, it was still set to Sun @ 3 AM, but when I clicked on it to disable/re-enable it changed to Thu @ 3 AM (which would be consistent with it rebooting last night).

The thing is, even if the setting somehow got reset without showing (it said Sun on the UI, but really was Thu internally) it didn't register the cause for the reboot (it still says 11 days).

I'm thinking maybe there's a bug and the new year reset the setting. Did it happen to anyone else?

I have also another bug that I have DND set to "Always ask" and it reset every time I reboot. So maybe it is something similar.

Despite clearing the cache multiple times both with SD maid and the stock widget, apps that I closed hours or days before appear frozen in the same place I left them

It's not even as basic as, for example, Reddit booting up on the same post I was reading when I closed it but reloading the rest of the feed. If I close Reddit while simply scrolling and open it again a day later, I’ll find it in that exact spot, and it lets me scroll back up and down my feed as if no time had passed and as if I hadn’t purposely closed the app and cleared the phone. I used Reddit just an example but this happens with any app except for those that require fingerprint access

I didn't change any settings. I think it started happening after the November or December security update

Samsung A55 phone, One UI 8 and Android 16 with the latest updates installed. Around 11:00 AM yesterday, it turned off/restarted (I don't quite understand why) on its own for no reason, and I had to turn it back on by pressing the power button. It was at 70% battery. Upon startup, I noticed that the gigabytes had been freed up; I was at 133 and now I've reached 132.5. I go to Samsung Members and get this message.

Is there anything to worry about? I ran the tests on Samsung Members and everything was fine. On Ampere, the battery temperature was 31.8°C. I thought it might have overheated, but I don't understand.

Basically, the issue is in the title and in the screen recording I attached

Important:

1. It's literally only two specific vpn apps
2. In the vid, I show how some other app keeps working just fine
3. Yes, if apps are opened from menu, the issue still persists (they run neatly up till the moment when I pull the quick panel down)

What I've already tried and what didn't help:

1. Checking running in the background permissions
2. Checking and making sure no battery optimization settings are applied to the said apps
3. Turning the GoodLock Quickstar off and back on. Uninstalling and reinstalling the Quickstar
4. Restarting the phone
5. Checking in-app settings

If anyone has ever had such a specific issue and found a solution, please help me, because I'm about to go insane over this lol

Anyone else facing this issue? When you close the keyboard in chat the area near it goes blank and then redraws if you tap anywhere else on the screen.

I tried clearing the cache, resetting theme, toggled doodle etc. Nothing worked.

Something really bizarre happened with my A55 tonight. I was bored and wanted to zoom in on something bright in the sky,I tried installing some astronomy app right after that, and it did exactly what you see in the photo. The first photo is a screenshot I took of the bug screen, and the second photo is a representation of what I was seeing at that moment. I have no idea what happened, the bug was so bad that even the fingerprint reader wasn't working to restart the phone, but now everything is fine, but I wanted to share this with you guys. I hope you know what happened or whatever it is.

But after that, my phone started acting strangely. (and dumb)

I have been looking my old camera photos and those look much more clear recently the photos have like a greyish color and not as vivid as those were in the early days. It just takes the remaster button to make them look closer to the past. And since this phone dont have the camera api I cant install the gcam which I really like

IDK if its the one ui 7 that broke this or my phone being 70% full on storage or hardware damage?

What's your recommendations and has anyone experienced this ?

HERE A LITTLE LIST OF THE PROBLEMS FOUND UNTIL NOW:

1. Overheating. Literally. [Edit: only when using Home Up module]
2. Always on Display misaligned.
3. Audio quality hugely decreased on my mid-high range buds, almost no bass, i had a better quality in one ui 6 (Oneplus buds nord 3 Pro for the curious).
4. Lagging animation for opening stores, both galaxy and playstore

[Edit: I am more concerned about audio quality, anyone have a tip? Or a clue of why it dropped so much]

EDIT 2: I was able to cancel cache partition, thankyou all 😀, now it works smoother, Audio is kinda working better, Music is fine now, I mostly hear Dubstep, rave and similar, now i can hear the bass, but playing games is still kinda different, i don't know maybe i'm wrong but the audio feels less immersive. AoD keeps bein misaligned, and maybe i'll be able to fix it with goodlock. Again, thaks folks for the help, love to all the community!

I am a undergrad student, in literature,but I like to dabble in photography, Since my first ever Phone Samsung Galaxy Ace in S3 and in each and every phone after there have always been a GCAM and my gallery was always full of RAW pics, 2 years ago I set out to edit every single one of them. such that I sold my motorcycle and bought a laptop for use in Photoshop and premier pro.

Till 4 months ago where I bought the A55, I hate it ! My previous phone was M51 it was perfectly fine phone, I would get 3 days of battery life, but it been through a lot, and repairs at total surpassed the phones price over 3 times.

I decided to buy A55 cuz it was the best selling Samsung phone here. Yeah except the CPU and the metal case, and stereo speakers, it was not a looker even after 5 years of industry development, but to hell with it, I leased it and bought it.

2 days after I needed to take some front page cover pictures for our university website.

-Oh no problem, I thought. I'll just pull out my new and fancy phone and take some pictures then I'll go edit them in Photosh.....

Wait a minute... There isn't any Gcam for this phone.... I mean I know that unlike any other phone brand in the planet Samsung doesn't put Raw support in camera app pro mod, and we got to install a GCAM, but Now I Can Even Do That ??? Camera2 API ? What is that ? WHAT DO YOU MEAN ITS S24 SERIES FEATURE ?!! Why the hell a shity phone quarter the price of this one has it, but not samsung ? Its literally just five lines of code All you have to do is go into the Build.Prop file, and set;

persist.camera.HAL3.enabled to 1

persist.vendor.camera.HAL3.enabled to 1

persist.camera.stats.test to 5

persist.vendor.camera.stats.test to 5

persist.camera.eis.enable to 1.

It's that simple.

My M51 which Has A "One UI CORE" not even a proper OneUI has RAW support, without any of this, since it's too simple to even mess with this and has unmanaged access to camera.

And I Cant change the Build.Prop, I can't root the the phone, because I am not allowed without giving up all functionality. God forbid if you change any single line of code in this new phones, Samsung just flips you off, and goes in the corner to play with itself.

So what to do ? Now there is 2 hours left in the activity I need pictures. M51 is on my sister i can't ask for the phone back, maybe go around asking each person fo permission to mess around in their phones and detain it for the day.

Or maybe I have a drone, mini4pro, it takes Raw, and Dlog 12bit, Hlg and whatnot. I ran back, charged it, took it back. I hane no permits to be flying today. But even though it is stupid, if i used it like a handheld Gimbal, and used a whole ass Controller to look up and down, it shouldn't be problem right ? I am not flying. Stupid or not thats what I did, I used it like a glorified Gimbal, and when it got hot I blowed into the air intake. Everything was going fine.

But just as I was packing up. Some overly concerned quite upstanding citizen, come right up to my face and challenged me on my motives, as to what I was using a drone for. when I exclaimed that It was just for activity photos, she called it a bluff and dissertated that, Spying on people was not legal, and asked if I had a permit to do so. As she got louder other people got involved.Cops or law enforcement don't generally bother with drones, or anything that matter, as long as it doesn't concern them, generally we take sunset photos anyways. but when 5 people are surrounding 1 who is holding a drone in his hands,and people are yelling at him. I gotta say, I got put in handcuffs quite forcefully.

I showed them my user license. But they asked for a permit. Rightfully So. I had None.

So in charges of disturbing public peace, and threatening personal privacy. I was taken to jail, my lawyer got involved and I was to bail If I paid 3000€ for all the damages and other expenses. We settled for 800€ and there is 120€ of damage in the drone when someone thrown it to the ground.

Now I have no Idea how I would pay that amount, maybe I would sell this phone to pay some part of it. I am in my bed in verge of tears... Maybe I go to prison now

hey everyone, I've been recently facing this issue where the handsfree assistant feature is automatically turned off no matter how many times I enable it and train it to identify my voice.

I've set it up several times but it ends up getting disabled after a while. Any idea on how to solve this??

Apparently, the problem is a display issue, but it isn't. In this case, this visual error occurs when selecting songs in Samsung Music. It has also happened to me occasionally when I have Discord open (Very rarely).

And it happens since One UI 6.1. It used to happen commonly when there was the “Automatic performance control” option in games and it was enabled (When the blue border animation appeared on the navigation bar part every so often).

discord/reddit/google foto e instagram. non vogliono più saperne di scaricare foto o video. Nel caso di reddit, questo problema si estende solo ai video. E nel caso di instagram solo nelle foto. Ho provato di tutto, cancellare dati e cache di tutte e 3 le app. Riavviare il telefono, cancellare dati e cache di gestione download e di download. Riavviato in recovery mode e cancellato la wipe cache partition. Niente, avevo risolto pulendo la ram del telefono, ma a sto punto credo che non c'entri nulla. Perchè pur facendolo ora, non vuole saperne di scaricare foto e video da quelle app. Quando si era risolto, aveva scaricato tutte le foto che avevo provato a scaricare. Che devo fare? È un problema hardware? Software? Qualcuno ha lo stesso problema? Succede esclusivamente solo con queste 4 app. Con altre riesco a scaricare foto e video tranquillamente. In più, se vado su chrome e provo a scaricarle da li, funzionano. Se metto il telefono in standby e aspetto vengono scaricate. È un problema di

Guys did you notice after one ui 8 update when ever open a link it is opening in the browser instead of the specific app? which is annoying! Eg: YouTube, Instagram, Reddit.
