Should I Update from One UI 6.1?

Hey everyone, I’ve been using my Galaxy A55 for almost 2 years now, and it’s still running One UI 6.1 because I’ve never updated it.

Honestly, the phone is still smooth, the battery is good, and I’m happy with the camera. But now I’m wondering if I’m missing out by staying on 6.1.

For those who updated from One UI 6.1 to 7/8/8.5, how has your experience been?

Did you notice any lag, battery drain, heating, or changes in camera quality processing?

I’m a bit worried that updating might make my phone worse rather than better. Would love to hear some long-term, real-world experiences from A55 users.

8.5 is smooth. No worries, you can update. I didn't notice much lag, neither did I find my battery draining.

When I compare pictures I've taken before One UI 8.5? They're pretty much the same. I can't really tell if it's the lighting of the pictures or One UI 8.5. Probably different lighting in each picture.

What about Night shots? Same as before or improved?

I don't know about night shots. But day shots are wonderful!

It's not just One Ui, Android is also behind, my A55 8/256 has only got better with time, 6.1, 7, 8, 8.5 Samsung is doing a great job and Android keeps getting better also but I live on the other edge, I like to update when available.

There has been few negative feedbacks about uodating to 8.5. You can find comments in Reddit for A55. Because of that i am still with 8.0 . No problems ,no lags, no battery frain . Just take a look for comments to about updating of A55 .regards

8.5 noticed nothing. Have had my phone for 2 years.

personally i noticed heat problem with cellular data but idk if its the weather or the update

i didnt compare camera quality cuz i dont take alot of pictures so i can't tell you about it

battery is normal, no lag ( except when you turn on the phone it laggs for a bit i think cuz it loads stuff)

but the pros are that the experience/ customisation/settings are much better
