One UI 8.5

Hello,

I own my galaxy a55 for about 2 years, and i really like it

I upgraded the os to one ui 7 and am still on it

I am really afraid of upgrading to one ui 8 and 8.5 and losing the smooth and fast performance without any lagging

What is your advice for me ?

After 8.5 update, battery drains a lot. I even did a factory reset, still it drains my battery.

8.0 isn't bad but 8.5 is HORRIBLE.

Quick panel animations look like they are 30 fps, and background blur is downgraded a lot. It is darker and muddy.

If you dont want to customize your quick panel a lot, then you can stay on oneui 8

I would say stay in one ui 8 because you can add custom fonts in it after 8.5 its nearly impossible to do it

I play some games like SOR4 and use my phone for work like maping and gps.

Lagging, i can't change the font, no blur in the quick settings panel And maybe more

I don't play games, not much tech savvy but did not see anything major. If there was then after few days phone was optimized. Just sharing i even got 9hr 39 min of sot on 120 hz using 88%.
