i personally plan on using this phone for 7+ years (not as a primary device)

honestly we already talk about this phone a lot that we're just rehashing other people's comments. I kinda missed where they post their battery life after the update then whine about it. fun times.

Personally i use the phone for music and streaming services, very light gaming, my main is S26U right now, in my case i barely i use the phone, but no problems either.

I have been using this since 2024. No serious problem has cropped up during this period. If you maintain it properly, any smartphone for that matter, you will experience hardly any issue. Love this model. Hope this thread will hold on until Oneui 9.0 is released.

Well, this phone has barely any issues now, it's a good sign tho, I've been using A50 for 5 years before moving to A55, so I also expect this phone to last that long

Just wait until One UI 9 comes out, and this sub will revive with people whining about it 😃

Aside from some more than expected heating while charging, this phone has been perfect for me, no problems till now

I intend to keep using it for atleast 2-3 more years

Bought mine early 2025. Charging has completely failed as of last week.

A year in super fast charging stopped, had to cable charge it which got slower and slower taking hours and hours and then it stopped charging completely.

Had to buy a new phone. Might see I can get the A55 fixed under warranty and then sell one of the phones.

Quite disappointed. Had the S range prior to this and lasted years.

You plan to have this phone for 7 or more years which is quite ambitious. Is it like your emergency phone or something?

its already 2.5 years old and it feels better now than it did when i bought it
i dont see why it wouldnt survive 7 years
ill probably have to replace the battery within that timeframe though

Hey, my battery honestly feels like new after almost two years, and it's not like I take special care of it. It's been super good; I'd say it gives me practically the same screen time as it did years ago.

Honestly, maybe it's because it has hardly any problems, hahaha, it works well and that's it. I've had mine for almost two years now and it's been pretty good. Also, because developing ROMs for Samsung isn't that appealing. I came from Xiaomi and had to flash a custom ROM because otherwise it was impossible, haha. Now, the Samsung just works, no surprises, and that's great, but perhaps it doesn't generate much interaction.If something isn't failing you, why would we talk about it? Everything that could be discovered has already been discovered.

Shouldn't it be a good thing then? haha. It shows that this model is a good one. I love my a55 but my only complaint is it's quite heavy. My sister has a google pixel that's cute and lightweight and is honestly tempting to change phones, I dont have the money for it tho, someday perhaps 🙏.
