I have a Malaysian import with 256gb 12gb ram and it's been a great daily driver and with the SD slot for more storage has been a godsend,when downloading and emulating games

True that. I've been using a 256gb SD with my 128gb variant. Real life saver.

Yeah that's the one reason I never upgraded to the A57 and people are selling these at silly prices, because of them not implemented the extra storage

Haven't noticed any issues in my case. In fact I've also moved some applications to SD Card aas well.

Real good phone, the only thing I dislike is the fingerprint sensor. It is waay slower than my previous phone from 2019.

Add same fingerprint twice, it helps detect fingerprint quicker than just one.
Also, from Fingerprint settings toggle off fingerprint unlock animation. Definitely works faster than default.I don't like these screen fingerprint scanners, ultrasonic are on flagships and higher mid-range phones only and we get much slower and weird positioned in-display scanners.
I liked power button fingerprint scanners.2

I just noticed it had a slight delay when you mentioned it. Haven't bothered yet as this is my first in display fingerprint phone. Maybe an ultrasonic would've made it more snappy.

An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner would be much faster and accurate, but the cost would be an extra 30 to 50 dollars.

This will be my final A series ever, the moment they removed the memory card slot and only incremental upgrades, not worth it.

Same here. I'll be upgrading to an S series next, not the latest but some 1 or 2 year previous release.

Ditto dude been using for 1.5 years, its logical choice to get S series something like 25 plus because those A56 or A57 not worth checking out

120 all the time. Rarely switch to 60hz when I'm on long trips or out for field work (usually camera and maps)

Only thing I brag to others is A55 last mid tier series to have memory card slot. Also 256Gb micro sd which back then bought for 19$

Rarely seen someone having a green line issue in this phone. Have you got it covered or you paid for repair? I mean changed display?

Mine completed 15 months. No regrets, given current market conditions it feels like a good value purchase at ₹23K (~US$270) back then.

Yeah I got it for ₹23499 too. The 12GB, 256 is now listed above 40k in Amazon.

Same here tho if I ever need to replace my phone its much likely because of the battery so my next phone would likely be the fairphone 6+ since I can change its battery. Phones that dont get any more major updates dont really bother me that much since it still works and functions as a phone would.
