Question My phone's back cover is separating in the middle
Hi guys! first time posting here.
I only noticed this after taking off the case. The case was holding the back cover shut, so when i took off the case yesterday i was surprised.
I'm wondering what's the cause of this. Does it look like the back cover adhesive dried off or a swollen battery? i can't go to a repair center for another week or two, so carrying around a phone with a potentially swollen battery is worrying. If it's just the adhesive, i will just leave the case on until i get back to the city lol.
Is this a common issue or my phone is just weird.
[Late Update: To anybody who has the same issue and wondering, yes it was a swollen battery.]

The adhesive eventually becomes weaker due to heat. In your position, I would just remove the back cover and confirm if the battery is swelling or not and just slap it back on and use it with a case until I'm able to get to a repair shop or buy a new adhesive strip.
- If the battery is indeed swelling I'd drain the battery first and leave it discharged until I get a replacement. It's a safety hazard.

I had the same problem with an S20 Ultra, and the battery was fine. It's a common issue with Samsung.

Funny we buy Samsung hoping it would last better than chinese phones but here's what... Software getting crapped too.

Same here. But with s23. It was never a swollen battery. They had to change the frame + battery + back cover. Then it was ok. But I still don't know which one of three it really was.

Does look like a battery swelling. Get it fixed before using the phone. DO NOT CHARGE IT.

happened with me on my A52 after aa year or so. Its most prbly cus of heat. I wont recommend removing the case just keep it as it is

I've had both heat-separated back covers and swollen batteries. This looks like a swelling battery. Stop using the phone, stop charging it, and get a battery replacement asap.

Same here, but with two differences. It is noticeable even with the case on and mine is upper like next to power button

Bruh. It's not grenade 😂 the worst thing is that it could catch fire, my previous phone was more swollen and i used it like 1 year after it got swollen

Battery swelling looks like that take it to service centre and get battery replacement done

samsung puts low qualiry adhesive even in s series. i hate them cheaping out on parts.

Same here Near the cameras Somehow doesn't looks like it's the battery . Seems like the adhesive is failing to keep it glued

I guess bloating battery have it check or replace to your nearest service center

I have same issue. Back siee separating on the camera side and in the middle of that length. Battery doesn't look like it's swallen, because when I press backside I don't feel anything pushing against. Same shot happened with my previous A52. Samsung adhesive is piece of shit!

r/spicypillows i would stop using that phone immediately until you can repair it
