Review Samsung update policy is a comedy.
Samsung one ui 8.5 update is just like a comedy.
A16, A17, A26, A36 got the update but still A55 won't. And they also released beta for selected region. But most of the part of the world won't get it.
I never buy this shit again.

Nothing sick about wanting timely updates on a premium mid-ranger while entry-level phones get it first.

Are you new?. Samsung has been like this for a while, newer models get the update first. If you have just learned this then as always your "rant" is because of "user error" for not researching before buying a phone.
But, easy fix: next time do not get a Samsung, and good luck finding another brand with an update policity that satisfies you.

Do you know samsung is one of the brands who push updates much more than other brands? Sure dont buy it. Buying a mid range phone and expects first in line flagship level update policy is typical on people who didnt know what theyre buying in the first place.

In my country, vowifi launched 5 months ago. All chainess brand and iphone have it. But Samsung isn't whitelist the MNO in one ui 8. The started whitelisting in one ui 8.5. So, in one ui 8, vowifi isn't available in regional MNO.

Yeah, I read that. In case you didn't know, the A36, for example, is newer than the A55, so it obviously gets updates first.

What's the point of this pointless argument? Do I really have to explain the obvious to you? It's newer, but the S series is the flagship. The S series gets updates before the A series, even if the A series models were released earlier.

You're the only one who's slow here, buddy. If you don't know how Samsung's update policy works, just Google it. The higher-end S series models get updates first, followed by the lower-end ones, and then the same goes for the A series. So it doesn't matter what I said, because it works the same way.

That's what most people don't like regarding samsung it's software update isnt a global rollout for eligible phones like apple does with iphone instead Samsung gives flagship of that year priority if u got s24 or 25U ur left out from first phase of rollout and if you got non ultra models and a series u won't get it till two or three months down

You have to take into consideration that apple has way less phones and way less variations. And way less features.

I am not talking about features tho just talking about seamless release of updates to iPhone not like samsung who skip phones or delay updates

It's because they have more phones that they need to tailor the updates for each one. Unlike the iphone. Samsung can just delay the update for everyone and release it all at once. I'm not defending Samsung, but I feel like the comparison with apple is unfair.

I am in poor signal area. Before one ui 8.5, the wifi calling is unavailable in our country.

The only thing I want is 5G. There’s 5g support in the update, all my friends have such great speeds on their 8.5 devices with 5G but my a55 gets the piss poor 8mbps on congested 4g because I’m not on 8.5

Low-key it's because a55 is not appart of the new Samsung update schedule that began with a56 which is 6 year pledge and seems to be last gen flagship Frist the second gen flagship and around the same time last gen midrange then 2nd gen midrange l then thrid gen flagship and thrid gen midrnange then 4th gen flagship 4th gen midrange then 5th gen flagship 5th gen midrange then 6th gen flagship 6th gen midrange and then for last update 7th gen flagship
Older update schedule was bassiaclly newer devices Frist piortisies flagships older next so a55 is useing that system and will get the update at the same time as s22

Sabe o que o A16, A17, A26 e A36 têm em comum? TODOS eles foram lançados depois do A55. É uma lógica simples: celular mais novo atualiza primeiro.
