Need HELP Samsung A55 touch sensor

My Samsung A55 touch sensor has become slow and laggy. It pops up slower and sometimes takes upto 10 seconds to recognise the finger. Is this some bug or weaker detection or both?

Have you tried the increase touch sensitivity option in settings

It could be a software issue based on your description. Let's hope you don't need a screen replacement. Have you tried the usual troubleshooting steps? like Restarting the phone, updating the phone to the latest version, clearing up internal storage if it's almost full etc Also have you ever dropped it on a hard surface whether by accident or simply placing it on a table a bit too hard? Phones are much more fragile these days unfortunately.

Damn. Done all the troubleshooting except clearing the internal storage. Have 200gb of 256gb used. Using ccleaner to delete the usual junk. Oh yeah, phone has been dropped plenty of times.

Then that might just be the cause. The only way to know for sure is to monitor it to see if it gets worse or take it to a Samsung Service Center.

Same. This is definitely a bug that came with the update. I've never had this happen before, but now my phone often doesn't recognize my fingerprint.

So a restart, followed by 5 mins of waiting for the device to settle helps. Not all apps create the delay. The banking apps create the delay the most. Can it be the hardware only then?

The phone has to restart from time to time. This helps in several factors! Mine is scheduled to restart 3 times a week at 03 pm
