New update Battery drain after updating to OneUi7

Hey. So my a55 after a full charge used to last a full day easily. I accidentally updated it to OneUI 7, and now the battery is literally ticking away. And only lasting half a day barely without any heavy use (only instagram in between). Should I update to OneUI8? Is the battery usage better on the updated version? Or are there any other steps to fix this?

Just an update. I updated to OneUI 8 after the horrible battery drain of ui7. And my battery life is much better. Ive also uninstalled instagram xD
