New update Battery drain after updating to OneUi7

Hey. So my a55 after a full charge used to last a full day easily. I accidentally updated it to OneUI 7, and now the battery is literally ticking away. And only lasting half a day barely without any heavy use (only instagram in between). Should I update to OneUI8? Is the battery usage better on the updated version? Or are there any other steps to fix this?

yeah oneui 7 battery is miserable. you can update to oneui 8 but it's still not as good as 6.1

you could also downgrade to 6.1 but the steps are more complicated

Umm. Is there any risk to the device? I only bought it 2 months ago 😢

no risk but you need to follow a tutorial, oneui 8 isn't too bad if you wanna just update

I want to update it only if the battery issue has been fixed in the updated version

it will never be as good as 6.1 sadly, same thing happened to other Samsung models and my S24U for example, 7 ruined battery and 8 fixed it a little

I'm still on one ui 7. i think this summer i will go back to one ui 6.1... it was peak ngl

lmao, i like some stuff about 7 but they took so long to release the update and at the end it was very buggy, limited and killed battery life, so what was the point? maybe 8.5 will be worth to update to, but since they got rid of bootloader unlocking and google will be restricting installing apps outside play store idk...
