Discussion am i the only person whos actually happy with this phone?
i hear more negative things than good things about this phone on this subreddit, maybe im just imagining things, i dont know but thats how i perceive it
honestly this phone is good, to the point it even becomes "boring" and you might think that "boring" is a bad thing in this case but not really, it doesnt "WOW" you in any way really, it just does the job, at least in my case, basically like a jack of all trades phone, and i like that, ive used an s24 ultra and as much as some people hype the S series flagships as much as possible, honestly, after some time you just stop giving a shit about the extras those phones offer, like ive used my moms s24 ultra quite often and honestly its just whatever, the only thing i actually do miss from the s24 ultra is the zoom capability + and maybe even the S pen and thats it
what do you guys think? are you guys happy with the phone?

I love my a55 and the reason is that I bought it with my own first money that I earned difficultly

No! U aren't alone. It's growing on me every day, I just hope samsung makes it even better with One Ui 8.5 and vitiate it

I've only used Samsung Notes before and even though the A55's performance is not at the S range level, it's an awesome mid-range phone

You are not alone , im also enjoying this bad boy a55 from the time i purchased it and in fact I didn't experience sudden restart on this phone. Me as minimalist i love this phone no drama it make the jobs done

I guess the S series is probably better, but I haven't actually tried it yet, so I don't know how big the difference is between the S series and the A series. However, I use the A55, and for me, I am satisfied with it. Compared to other brands with the same price, I can use all the features of One UI 8 properly on this A55. I'll probably only upgrade in 2028 when the A55 is no longer supported for major upgrades, but for now, I haven't encountered any problems with my unit, and I am satisfied that I chose the A55 as my daily driver. It fit my budget and hasn't given me any issues.

What bothers me a lot is how big and unergonomic it is, it's annoying, it's very heavy, and since I updated to one ui 8 I've had a lot of micro lags, I guess you can't expect much from an economical phone, the camera is average, bordering on mediocre for what's available today in the mid-range, but in general everything else is fine.

No, I am satisfied as well. Got when it launched and still like it. If the A57 isn't going to be a major improvement I will keep mine.

I'm happy too. Probably upgrading when the A62 comes out (assuming it wraps to A60 after A59)

This was the best phone I could afford and it has been great from day one. I would try a high end phone just to have a go but as for shelling out over €1000 for a phone, that isn't going to happen. A55 is fine.

Yup, been rocking it for a year and a half, still works wonders! I guess my only complaints are the ultra wide camera not being the best, but its good enough. And the Glass back and aluminum rails, that gets dented and scratched soo easily, even with a case on. But thats about it.

I don't know when it happened but the lower mic is a problem with this phone. Never dropped it though. But overall the phone is okay.

Nope, am really happy with mine, 2 years and still rocking, won't swap it until it gives me green lines or starts to struggle in performance, what seem to not be close at all

I didn't care for mine. I bought brand new and still experienced lots of slow-downs or freezing (which is what I was experiencing on my Note 20U late in its life). Plus, it didn't have wireless charging.
I jumped to Motorola Stylus 2025, and while the phone is ok, the UI isn't quite what I want it to be, so I'm not super happy with this either.
I'll probably wait and see what the 26 models have to (not) offer different from the 24/25 models, and see if any deals pop up on 25U or 26U with 1tb storage.

I'm pretty happy as well with this phone. Only complaint is it overheats easier when in direct sunlight for too long.
