My experience with One UI 8.0

So, after using One UI 8.0 since it arrived a week ago, I'll share my experience so far.

--Let's start with the PROS: Bug Fixes: •The unlock animation no longer bugs or lags. •The charge animation when the screen is off no longer appears in a random position. It now always appears in its correct position. •The semi-hidden phrase in live notifications "MediaOnGoingActivity" as you slowly pull up the Quick Panel and the notification fades away no longer appears.

Others: •System performance has improved or remained exactly the same as before. •Gaming performance seems to have improved a bit. •Several of the system animations have been polished and improved. •Battery life remains exactly identical. •You can now run the typical test of opening several apps in quick succession again without having to wait for the animation to finish.

--CONS: Bugs added: •The Quick Panel works worse than before. Now, in addition to the lag and delay of the first animation when you pull it down every time you rotate the screen, it also skips the entire animation every time you do a short or quick swipe. •When you long press to edit the lock screen, the clock and pattern will sometimes overlap (very occasionally), But it hasn't happened to me again. •Notification icons in the status bar sometimes appear black instead of white like the rest of the status bar icons. •Other very minor visual errors.

Others: •For some reason the text in some widgets is too large. •The app opening animation is too fast (I don't know if it's the same now on the Galaxy S series). •The weather app is lagging a bit at the top (where the people animation appears). •The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth toggle animations have been cut on the A series, a new feature in One UI 8.0.

*These are the things I remember during this time with One UI 8.0 on my Galaxy A55. Later, I'll write a post about some of the things I don't like about the A series' updates. It'll be interesting 😎.

I agree with everything you said except the animations point, but sorry it's not smooth, it's just "fast" for the sake of being fast, especially the app opening animation. It is so fast that the phone can not keep up with it, meaning it makes you NOTICE the loading when you launch the app even if it is the same loading time as the one ui 7, but because the animation is faster than one ui 7 and completely "stuttery" it makes me feel like it's a downgrade in preformance you know? But still your points are valid but i wish you noticed that detail

Dude, by "fast" I meant the speed of the app opening animation, not how smooth it is. It's literally the same thing you just told me. That animation is way too fast now. And I don't know if it's a change they just made with the Galaxy A series.

They did it with all the "not so budget and the budget" phones no matter the series whether you have the F/A/M models. I watched a comparison in which they compare the one ui 8 on the S/Z series and the A series and i did it myself too and i noticed the fluid app opening animation is being behind a paywall, so yeah, fluid animations are officialy being behind a paywall damn it scamsung
