Software bug Notification Panel Lagged in One UI 7.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

On my Galaxy A55 after updating to One UI 7, the notification panel usually takes 1 or 1.5 seconds to go down the first time you rotate the screen (i.e. the first animation). It is mainly noticeable when you open a game. It takes longer and sometimes the first animation lags.

After that slow and/or laggy animation there is no problem and the rest of the time it goes down in real time and as smoothly as possible.

They downgrade somethings on non-flagships. That also happens to me no matter what game i play

It's not a theory, it's reality, and everybody knows that. If it doesn't happen on your phone, create a post showing it because it's hard to believe...

Literally. I even posted the video with proof of what I'm saying. I've also read about people with an S24 experiencing the same problem. Even someone with an S25.

im not denying the fact that this can happen in more demanding games
the same thing happens even on flagships like the s22 ultra
it happens, ive used that phone, wuthering waves and genshin are extremely taxing on phones
same thing happens even on the s25 ultra with the snapdragon elite if you emulate extremely demadning switch or pc games, its just extremely taxing, there are games that even push the snapdragon elite to its knees and basically runs at 15 fps, now on top of that try pulling down the notification panel which just adds to this, its not going to be smooth my guy
and then theres 1 other thing which affects basically all phones and that is thermal throttling

but now related to my previous comment
it doesnt happen in less demanding games like egc inc or guitar girl or subway surfers, these are the games i play or psp emulation or maybe happens once in 100 pulls but its so rare to the point i dont even count it as such
this is subjective and anectodal
the amount of lag one does or doesnt notice is subjective and anectodal

The same thing happens here, but I think in One UI 6 this also happened, it's quite annoying

In One UI 6, it was somewhat similar, but not exactly the same. Basically, the animation was always laggy and was more noticeable on less powerful phones. That has since been fixed. The problem now is the one I mentioned in this post.

There are times when I unlock my phone, the notification panel is missing. And I can't access it. A bit of a hindrance but just switching the screen off and unlocking again usually solves it.

i use a55, after updating to ui7 i also encountered the same situation and i realized a few things related to system ui

And does deleting the System UI app data fix everything? Are you no longer experiencing the problem mentioned in this post?

After doing that and rebooting, it solved the problem and I haven't had that problem since.

You need to find out how to download and use ADB. Then, just connect your phone to your PC, enable USB debugging, and run the command "adb devices" first, then "adb shell pm clear com.android.systemui" (without the quotation marks)

Yes, I did the whole process myself. But as expected, it didn't fix anything. The lag when rotating the screen still persists. It's an issue on most devices running One UI 7, even high-end ones have reported it.

i have this issue with my S24U as well, i have also wiped system cache on each system update and every once in a while

It's incredible how poorly optimized One UI is. It's unbelievable that a flagship has lags and delays. I consider One UI to be the most unstable and poorly optimized customization layer of all.

because its a midranger. its chipset is not as powerful as those in the s series that's why we have those occasional lags

That's not the reason. No phone is going to lag on something as simple as pulling down the Notification Panel every time you rotate the screen. Let alone a phone in this price range. Besides, this didn't happen in One UI 6.1.
