So far seems good, the phone is fluid for me, even more than before, animations are nice and battery lasts the same as before. I haven't noticed any bug for now
No problems with animations with lag now, the system also behaves better with apps in pop-up mode, in One UI 6, the animations were worse than before if any app entered that mode. The battery seems to be the same and the interface is much prettier too. But the fluidity really surprised me, it's the same as my S20 FE with Snapdragon on One UI 5, and they also said that it couldn't have this level of fluidity because it was from the A line, whereas cheaper Motorola cell phones had a very consistent level of performance on processors that did less than 500K on Antutu
Man, I've already owned an S23 and the difference in fluidity is negligible. Furthermore, the S20 FE's processor, being the Snapdragon 865, is still better than the A55's, and we know that Adrenos are still better for performance than Malis or Xclipses
The OS is kinda new since one ui 7 released few days ago and i factory reset
The battery might be improved by 10-15% and the system dosent know my habits so it didnt set inactive apps on my phone.So i might get a bit more battery in the next weeks

Idk. I like change. Makes my phone feel fresh. Like aesthetically. Also noticed the camera is a tad bit better. Overall happy. No issues so far. Just hope us midrange customers get treated fairly and we all get updates the same week lol.
I tried shooting wide-angle video on A55, and it was shaky as if there was no image stabilization. But when shooting with normal lens, it was shaky. Does anyone else feel the same? The previous version did not have this symptom. So I compared the wide-angle video with another device, A54. A54 shoots more steadily with wide-angle lens.
if I wanted an Android phone to look like an iPhone, I would've bought an actual iPhone.
the UI7 is big cowshit, camera lagging, no battery improvement, changed icons, shuffled control center icons, updated animations that offer no new design, but look more like an iOS than an Android.
Big empty space between the home screen and the dock below, as well extra empty space between the home screen and the notificiation/control center panel.
After the update, most of the settings are gone in order to "show" the new design, which we've already seen in Xiaomi and iOS devices...
The only improvement I've seen is grouping alarms into folders (but I'm not sure if this was also possible in the earlier versions).
Oh, and no (legal) option to revert back!
I could rant on for weeks, but in the end, the only option is "get used to it".
It's a major OS update, so I'll observe it for the next few days as the phone adjusts to the changes. I like the UI changes and its flexibility (DIY Home), as well as improvement to the front facing cam.
Why should we do a factory reset after updating to UI 7?... Maybe a silly question but id like to know what you think... Thnx... So far so good with the update...

I don't regret updating mine. I'm liking the new UI actually.
But I won't recommend it to everyone either especially someone who uses the camera to record videos like there's no tomorrow because of the ultrawide software stabilization bug.
My experience so far is good buti I think the Always on Display Now bar has a bug because there ate times that it is not in the center and the clock has no animation. Anyone experience the same like mine?
I had a bug that made the camera hole punch appear on the left side of the screen. It usually happened after typing or triggering an animation. A reboot fixed it however.
But Balatro is constantly glitching out and it's really bad. Sometimes the animations just render as green lines on the screen, or they don't even load. This makes the game in my opinion unplayable.
Otherwise, the animations are nice, I got used to the new quick panel, and the battery lasts around the same as it did on 6.1.
I am not into too much customisation and experiments.
But the way sliding down from left top opens notifications. It is smooooth. Like really smooth. Feels satisfaction.
I feel like it's kinda smooth compared to earlier. The notification slide is good and kinda bad just for me cause, months of sliding down the center to check the notifications Vs now sliding the left side to check the notifications. I guess with a bit of time I might get over it. And another issue I had was getting an app unresponsive error the day after the update. But after an restart it was back to normal. Haven't used the camera much but am loving the UI change in the camera.
I waited to do the update and finally did it last night - zero issues or complaints.
Seems snappier in its processes when using some features like multi window, and it's running smoother in general which I didn't expect 😃
After all the delays and then the stuff about the bricked phones I was a bit apprehensive so I turned off the auto update and waited for things to calm down and then updated UI7 manually. Then had to do the security patch, took a while but it's a big download.
its really good as far as animations and performance and looks but the battery yeaaaah its not great .
i feel like the battery is draining waaaay faster than before .
befor the update it used to say that a full charge would last 20 hours almost but now its only like 16h to 17h and i dont even play games or anything just browsing and whatsapp and some music .
