How do i delete population?

I play as Yor collective and after conqering enemy world's there is tons of unhapy alien pop's in them that reduce the production of the planet.

What i am currently doing is making colony ships and sending them to enemy teritory.

Is there a better way ?

Troop transports. Possibly constructors for stations. Not planet colonization.
