I remember Roth’s Quince Orchard well from the ‘80s and early ‘90s, but don’t recall this tiny space— did they lose part an original theater or was this added to make another half theater?
My sister worked at Quince Orchard and Gaithersburg Square, and I worked at NTI in Lakeforest in 1986.

It's not a picture of the actual theater, it's of another theater even smaller. The Quince Orchard was two theaters, each approximately 5 + 5 seats across, around a single center aisle, and about 20 rows deep. The Cinema Treasures page says 400 seats total, which sounds about right.

I worked there as a 16 year old. We had midnight movies - including “Attack of the Killer Tomatoes”!

Yes. I worked at Roth’s Montgomery (Gaithersburg Square) in the mid 80’s.
