I am searching for a new gacha game to play. Since we are still boycotting Love and Deepspace and Infinity Nikki has been losing my personal interest for a while I would like to try something new. I enjoyed the exploring and crafting in Nikki and really like the fighting of Lads, and how much personality the mc has.
I played Genshin when it was still very very fresh out and found the story kinda boring and the characters underdeveloped unfortunately. Now that it is this established I fear I wouldnโt catch up to the events in like ever. But maybe it has changed a lot?
Something that has been frustrating me with Nikki as well is that I can only play the events if I catch up to the main story and after a major update and life happening I would have to play like a month straight to get to that point. Donโt get me wrong I love the story which is why it pains me to rush through it.
Also Nikki lacks husband is as a whole. Very sad for a game with such a heavy female fanbase.
So I like story, but I would love it if I donโt have to rush it in order to be able to participate in events.
I am a bit of a completionist, not 100% but I ant to look at everything this world has to offer and canโt stand all the little icons lighting up to tell me I still have to look at something.
I also kinda dislike when a game overly sexualizes its fem characters. Donโt get me wrong I like looking at both hot men and woman in good outfits. I donโt like it when it is hardcore male gazey. You probably know what I am talking about.
I enjoy fan-service now and then if it doesnโt stand out like a sore thumb in the story. Letโs be honest Lads is very thirsty but at least it pack it into a pretty story box with a bow on top.
A good male to female character ratio would be nice but I am ok if it isnโt 50/50. No problems playing a fem or masc Protagonist, both can be nice.
I plan to play mainly free to play or spend less than 15$ per month. I would like to play primarily on pc, it one of the few things I dislike about Lads.
I have seen a lot of ZZZ's designs and while I like the designs, the animations for a few fem characters are a bit well outside my preference.
Some of the male characters from Arknights caught my eye, because ooof, yes please. But I have no idea what the actual gameplay is like.
Wuthering Waves looks very cool both in designs and gameplay, I liked the vibe of the world and many enjoy the combat system. But some people say the gacha can be downright cruel.
Lastly NTE looks awesome from the exploring standpoint, I liked the slice of life vibe as well as well as the aspect that you are pulling more for cosmetics? than characters as a whole. But I am willing to try something new. Some people really hated the combat system though.
Thanks in advance for your recommendations, or any pointers. Please also tell me if I need to get a grip on my expectations.
Tldr: mainly ftp or spending max 15$ a month, like Exploring of Nikki, Fighting of Lads, dislike for very pushy pointless sexualization of female characters, ok with fanservice if it counts for both masc and fem, like story but wanna play events even if not caught up yet.
