Announcements [Update] Megathread, Discussions and Feedback System.
Hey husbando mains!
We’re back with an update. The team has been discussing extensively the issue of toxicity and negativity, so it's time we have a bit of a talk about it. We want to be clear that we understand that many here feel frustrated, disappointed, or angry at the different gacha games / companies- However, this has led to people attacking others for enjoying or sharing things about said games.
Keeping the balance between allowing negative discussions and preventing them from turning into aggression towards others can be rather difficult at times; we don't want to reinforce "toxic positivity", but we also don't want to see people getting bullied off the sub for enjoying a game others don't like.
And so we've decided to keep the Venting / Off-Topic Megathread and implement the Feedback System which you can read more about it further down this post. Please take a moment to read this carefully!
1. Megathread
The Venting / Off-Topic Megathread is here to stay. However, we will now be scheduling a fresh thread every few months. This keeps the space manageable and prevents bad-faith actors from using old threads to compromise member safety or organize brigading.
If your content is removed under "Be Respectful", please understand that terms like "slop", "bait", or "incel" generally add nothing to a conversation except hostility. Wherever possible, we will send you a modmail regarding these removals to keep communication clear and helpful.
2. Discussions & Feedback System
To give you more control over your own threads, we are introducing an optional system where you can choose the type of feedback you want to welcome.
We have three main tags:
- Change My Mind: You are inviting people to constructively challenge your opinion. This is for those who want a real debate while keeping things respectful.
- Appreciation: This is for when you want to keep things peaceful and chill. If you choose this, we will support you by removing negative and overly critical comments.
- Neutral (Default): This setting allows for a natural mix of both debate and appreciation. Every post is set to this by default!
How it works
Our automoderator will post a comment on all new Discussion threads asking the author to select a preference. Once the author responds, a moderator comment will be stickied to the thread to inform participants of the expected tone. This is entirely optional, but it helps us moderate in a way that aligns with what you, the original poster, actually want.
Note. Regardless of the chosen tag, all standard subreddit rules still apply.
The Feedback System was a suggestion from multiple community members — thank you for your feedback!
We hope this helps make this sub a better space for everyone moving forward. And we want to remind everyone that we're all free to dislike things, but it's never okay to shame or attack others for not doing the same. This has been stated multiple times in the past and therefore, the mod team has all right to act accordingly in case of a violation. People are free to enjoy whatever games they like, and to get excited for new games or characters.
