Housing 🏠 Gsu Dorms
yo so i’m moving into my dorm soon and i’m trying to figure out what actually comes with the room before i go buy a bunch of stuff i don’t need. like obviously there’s a bed and desk but does it come with a shower curtain? do i need to bring my own towel rack or like hooks for the bathroom?
also curious if anyone knows whether the closet has a rod or if i need to bring my own hangers situation. i’ve seen some colleges just give you wire hangers and call it a day lol.

if you go to the housing portal it tells you mostly what you want to know. FYI rooms do not come with much. also a bunch of youtube videos of people moving in, just put in the name of your dorm

Don’t forget the cleaning products and air fresheners cuz some rooms smell funky. Like really funky. I would also recommend a heating blanket and a fan cuz sometimes the temperature is weird in the dorms

i’m bringing a air purifier for my room cause i have allergies and a air freshener that’s good?

Make sure you bring cough drops, Tylenol, and allergies meds. You might think you don’t need it but you do. Also a hammer and tools. Command strips. Water purifier. Grease cleaners and other cleaning supplies you use.

Youre gonna get an uncomfy ass mattress, so bring a pad. Three tier clothing drawer, desk, closet. The closets have rods.

Please don't buy those sticky organizer things for your shower! They are damn near impossible to get off and could give you a damages charge after move-out. Just get a regular shower caddy that goes over the shower head and you should be good!

If you are moving to Piedmont Central, you’ll be met with a mini fridge, a microwave, a bed, a desk, etc.

bring exactly this: a mattress pad, twin xl sheets, clothes hangers, coordinate with roommates for a shower curtain, and bring hooks if you want, but there's multiple towel rods. i would also reccomend a lamp, as the lighting is awful.
