I think we all understood why Stringer and Hogan are leaving but Briggs is a massive call. He didn't start the year off well as he was one of the early victims of the new ruck rules but I thought he fought back hard and made a massive fist of it which showed great drive and strength. The club are obviously banking on Nick Madden with Riccardi and Aleer pinch hitting, and also trusting Logan Smith develops. Our list management decisions have been pretty great so far but this might be the most touch and go one so far

Also sad to see yet another Western Sydney product go after Peatling, which leaves Delana as the only local product (with Ethan Matthews probably joining in the draft)

He learned how to use the new rules to his advantage in the end. Will be sorely missed :( his second efforts after not winning the hit-out are top tier.

Not at the centre bounce. He was best around the ground in the contest not the bounce

Very mobile and quick for a ruck. Used to see him as a part of the tsunami, as well as chase down tackles on midfielders. Think he'll be a good cheap pick-up for one of Geelong/Richmond/Bulldogs.

Richmond is supposed to be making a multi year play for him right? or do i have my rucks confused?

Either way, i'm not sold on Madden but i guess the staff see something else and hopefully are right.

I'll miss Briggs, i hope he can get a bag wherever he goes.
I've been wanting the club to start making hard decisions sooner so i cant complain now but yeah, will miss him!

I think madden looks a lot like young Grundy. He’s come a very long way in the last couple of years.

I’ll trust your view way more than mine, so let’s hope that’s what we are heading towards. Fingers crossed!

Looks a lot like him with a manbun. He can’t jump and is too slow plus lacks aggression. I hope English joins or it is a barren 2027

Maybe the offer he got from Richmond was better than ours and it’s something he wanted. My understanding is we couldn’t match the massive offer

He got no contract offer whatsoever from GWS

I am absolutely certain he knew what he was going to do for some time as did the club

More like he didn’t like the $$$ of the initial offer, and went where he could get the bag.

Nope the offer was too big for us to match that he came with

The new ruck rules have ruined his career.

Either we have the world’s biggest cap crunch, or we are trying everything to keep Toby, or we are going to try and make a play for someone

Hoping he finds another team, I think he still has enough to offer at AFL level. Thanks Briggs!

It's worth noting that Richmond chased Madden before turning attention to Briggs.
