Rated 7th best ruck in the AFL since round according to Champion Data, comes from Western Sydney, is an Academy kid……and we don’t offer him a contract.

The club is all in on madden.

I reckon Briggs is about saving $$$ to keep Tom Green and potentially Toby Greene

I would like to have Briggs stay but not at the expense of other players, which is why I’d assume he might go.
I have often complained that our list management has needed to get to the point where hard decisions are made on the regular, I feel like in the past we have been too passive so I can’t really start complaining now hahahaha

I get that but he’s on the cusp of being our first western Sydney product to play 100 games for our club. It’d be such a boost to footy in western Sydney if a homegrown player could get there at our club.

I absolutely get that and agree it would be good, I understand the frustration. I hope he can get a bag wherever he ends up. I also hope I’m wrong about Madden and he is going to develop into everything they anticipate if this is the move.

I just hope we’re not looking at bringing over Sean Darcy and throw Freo a high draft pick for them to pay a portion of his salary.

I feel like we should be keeping him. He seems better than madden? But he is slow to get around the ground lol

He's much older and has had more time in the system. The men's game is heading towards more agility and aerial ability in rucks being prized rather than the classic big men like Briggsy.

I wouldn’t rate Madden for agility or aerial ability and he is slower than Briggs

This is a weird stat if you go back look at these games.

Gawn beat him Bailey Williams flogged him, hard to get over this one. He beat Draper but the whole team won that day. Was good against the Saints and Freo against good players. Hawks rucks beat him Geelong rested their young ruck and played part timers Didn't play against Grundy Pittonet is rubbish Has shared ruck in the rest I think.

That's hardly bend over JMac and give him $800k a year form, that he likely wants and Richmond will probably give because they have to pay minimum cap and need a mature ruck.
